Chapter 9

Bruno's POV

After two days of spending time at the beach, we finally went home to my Mom's house. I felt sorry for my other friends 'cause they have to stay in a hotel again 'cause there are not enough room for us anymore. But tonight, we were planning on a night out. We gotta spend our last few days in Hawaii having fun and enjoying. That night at eight, I wore on a nice shirt, jeans and the famous fedora hat.

I climbed down the stairs and saw Natalie there at the bottom. I caught her just staring at the wedding ring I gave her around her finger. I approached her said in a soft voice, "Do you like it?"

She turned her head to see me. "It's beautiful," she answered.

"It's my Mom's," I gave a small smile.

"I know... and it's not meant for me," she said looking away.

I couldn't say anything that would boost her spirits up 'cause to be honest... she was right. It's not for her. It's for Bridgette really. I sighed loudly. "You look stunning," I just said to compliment her and make her feel better. She looked back at me again checking if I was telling the truth. "No lie, babe," I assured her and she gave out a smile.

"Hey, the guys are now here!" we heard Eric's voice coming from where the front door was. Then Lucas and Bridgette appeared heading towards the living room and to the front door. They saw us there and we have to do something now to look romantic.

I felt Natalie's hand around my arm then we walked to the front door following them. We found the Hummer outside the house waiting for us.

"Bye, babe. Have fun and don't drink too much," Bridgette said to her boyfriend and kissed him on the cheek before he got out from the door.

"Have fun too, babe," Lucas waved bye to her.

Then I quickly turned to Natalie and told her in the sweetest way, "Take care of yourself, babe. I'll be back before you go to sleep. I promise." Then I pecked a kiss on her forehead.

Natalie smiled at me and replied, "I'll wait for you."

And I also said waved bye to Bridgette. "Bye, Bridge."

She looked a little surprised to hear me say goodbye to her. "Bye, Bruno!" she said with enthusiasm.

"Bye, Mom!" I said aloud hoping Mom who was in the kitchen would hear.

Persey's (Natalie) POV

I went back to Bruno's old room to get my bag. I just forgot to bring it with me downstairs. I dug into it to check if my phone was there and a thin pile of cash surprised me. I heard my phone rang and I dug deeper into my bag and took it out. It was a message from Bruno.

"I put some cash in your bag for your shopping. Have fun 'fake fiancé' lol :)"

For real? He's treating me?! I just stole ten thousand from him and now he's treating me for the 718253481254th time? Hell yeah! I love this job!

"Thanks 'fake husband-to-be' :) xx" I texted back.

"Oh PS! You have to share the money with Ali!" Bruno texted back.

And I thought I was going to shop without being thrifty with the money which wasn't even from my own wallet. I rolled my eyes in disappointment. I was afraid I might spend all the money and not be able to spare some anymore for Ali because like what I said, shopping is my guilty pleasure. If I see something I want, I'd buy it right away without even thinking about how much money I'm gonna lose. Ali's not anymore a baby but I felt like I was going to be her babysitter or nanny when we go out.
