Chapter 12

I wake up to Jack's soft snoring beside me. Nothing happened between us last night, well we did make out... But after that we put the movie back on and fell asleep. Jack groans and turns around so he's facing me, "morning" he mutters. "Morning" I yawn back. Jack puts his arm over my waist and pulls me closer, "lets stay in bed for a little longer" Jack whispers and I nod, closing my eyes.

When I wake up again I see that I'm alone in bed, I didn't dream that, did I? I check the time on my phone; 10am. Deciding that I've spent to much time in bed already I get up and make my way to the kitchen. "Morning my beautiful girlfriend" Jack grins, "morning my beautiful boyfriend" I joke. He tilts his head back and laughs, "I should've seen that one coming" he says. Jack sits next to me on the couch and hands me a coffee, "what do you want to do today?" I ask. "There's a nice cafe down the street, we could go?" he suggests. "Okay, when do you want to go?" I ask and he checks his phone, "after we finished our drinks?"
Jack and I walk down the sidewalk, our hands linked and slightly swinging back and forth. We arrive at a small cafe/restaurant and Jack pulls me inside. "What do you want?" Jack asks and I look at the menu on the counter, "can I get... A chocolate brownie and a coke." I say and pull my purse out, "I'll buy." Jack says, "you sure?" "Yeah... You can make it up to me later." He winks and I roll my eyes, "I'll go find a table." I tell him and he nods.

"I think you should start a Youtube channel." Jack breaks the silence as we're walking back home. "What? Why?" I ask, "well you were talking about how you need a job and Youtube is a great place to start, especially for film making or comedy." I bite the inside of my lip and think, "besides, there are plenty of film makers you could collab with; me and Dean, Tim, Hazel, Tom and I could even introduce you to Sammy, Pj or Bertie." I think about saying no, but I realise Jack's right. "I'll think about it."

When we arrive back I notice a car in the driveway, "hello?" Jack calls out as we step inside, "in the living room!" A familiar voice shouts back. Jack grins and starts pulling me through the corridor, "I want you to meet someone." He announces. "Who's this?" A woman with slightly tinted purple/pink hair asks after she greets Jack. "Louise, this is my girlfriend Lila. Lila, this is my friend Louise." Jack introduces, "best friend." She corrects him, "well..." Jack says in a slightly high pitched voice. "Wait, did you say girlfriend? As in girlfriend, girlfriend?" She gasps, making me smile. "It's nice to meet you, you're Sprinkle of Glitter right?" I ask, already knowing that it's her but not wanting to seem stalker-ish. "It's nice to meet you too, Jack why haven't you told me about her?" She questions "we only started dating last night!" Jack justifies, "he hasn't been too difficult for you has he?" Louise turns to me and I shake my head. "I'm not that bad!" Jack defends, "well..." I say, mimicking his tone from before. "Hey! You're meant to be on my side!" He yells at me, "she's decided to pick the better person to side with." Louise says and leans her arm on my shoulder.
"Here you go." Jack hands Louise and I our drinks before sitting next to me. "So Lila, in a couple of nights Hazel and I are having a girls night, you should join us" Louise offers. "I wouldn't want to intrude..." "You wouldn't be!" She assures me.

"I think Louise likes you." Jack tells me as we're getting ready for bed, "that's good" I smile, glad that I made a good impression on her.
