Hermione's POV
"Malfoy actually talked to me, like a real human being!" I hissed to my two best friends.
"Well he can't mean good." Harry took a glance over to me. "I asked if he realized I was muggle born and he said something about not being his parents and wanting to change! I think that he is trying to be good with us and then back stab us. What do you think?" I asked, making a stabbing motion when I said backstab. "I agree with 'Mione," Ron smiled and scooted towards me. He leaned over to kiss me but I pushed him away. "I'm surprised you're still a vrigin, Hermione!" Harry laughed. "Shut up." I mumbled looking down at my food.
When the feast was over, the first through sixth years left. It was just us. McGonagall pulled out the sorting hat and set it on the old, wooden stool. I had flashbacks of all my previous years and adventures. I smiled and grabbed Harry's hand next to me. He looked over confusedly and I squeezed his hand. We smiled at each other. "Weasley, Ginny. " McGonagall said wearily. "Harry Potter!" The sorting hat called. I giggled with Ginny and she sprinted over to Harry, who looked grim, leaning in to kiss. "Granger, Hermione!" I shakily walked up to the stool. As soon as the hat was placed on my head it cried out "DRACO MALFOY DEAR GOD DON'T PUT ME ON THAT YOUNG WOMAN'S HEAD!" I shrieked and ran out of the Great Hall.
