First shift

Maddies P.O.V

Jack ran towards me with fear in his eyes. I could feel the blood running down my neck and the pain was intensifying. I placed my hand over the bite and tried to breathe steadily but my sobs were making it incredibly difficult.

"Maddie breathe baby" Jack said as he placed his hands over mine that were on my neck.

"I'll go get Alpha Matt" Connor said as he ran back into the club. Rosa stood next to me and tried to calm me down but it wouldn't work. My head was pounding and my skin was burning. I could hear my own heart beating in my ears. What was happening to me!

"I don't know whats happening! Why do I feel like this?!" I cried.

"shhh baby you're going to be okay. Wheres Matt?" Jack shouted.

A man and a gang of men walked around the corner. "I'm here. What's happened?" He asked.

"Im not sure, we came outside and she was on the floor with a bite on her neck" jack said, "what happened baby?" he said while Matt and Connor kneeled down to my height.

"A-a man. He pulled me back and- and bit me. He had big teeth" I shivered at the thought of what just happened.

"Maddie? Maddie did he have brown hair and was he tall? Did he have a tattoo on his neck?" Matt asked me.

I nodded at everything he said and his face paled. "Logan" was all he could say, you need to get her to a pack hospital now or it will be fatal. He told Jack.

"She hasn't turned" he replied.

Everyone talked amongst themselves trying to figure out what to do while Jack and Rosa tried to calm me down. Suddenly, a bomb exploded in my head and I felt pain wash me like boiling water.

"AGHHH!" I screamed, "WHATS HAPPENING TO ME!" everyone looked at me startled.

My bones started to crack loudly and I continued to scream out in pain.

"She's shifting" Matt said, "We need to get her out of here, theres too many people about."

"We need to get her in the truck" one guy said. The rest of the men started organising for the truck to come around and Jack tried to soothe my pain.

Jacks P.O.V

I tried to keep her calm, I did't want her to be scared especially during her first shift. One of Matts men brought round a van and I picked her up while she whimpered in my arms.

"It's going to be okay baby girl, I promise".

After driving for about 20 minutes we were forced to stop at an old warehouse in the middle of nowhere. Maddie's pain was getting worse and I didn't want her to have to endure it for much longer. As soon as the door on the van opened Maddie jumped out and ran into the warehouse. When she got in, she fell to her knees and cried out in pain.

I went to calm her but Connor held me back, "We need to step back and let it happen man".

As much as I wanted to ignore him, I knew he was right.

She screamed as her bones snapped. Her arms looked out of place and you could see her spine changing shape and breaking through her skin. I wanted nothing more than to just swap the pain for myself so she didn't have to feel the agonising shift.

Before I knew it, there was a magnificent white wolf in front of me. She stood proud in the room and everyone looked at her in awe. She was completely white except for a small black patch on the side of her ribs. I walked over to her and stroked her face, she nuzzled into my shoulder at my touch.

I am so in love with this girl, the way she manages to keep a hold of herself through this time. I want nothing more than to claim her, marry her, make her the mother of our children and then grow old with her.

She is my world, my life and I love her.

A/N

Hey guys! I'm really happy with how everything is going right now! I was experiencing issues with my Wattpad app on my iPad which made me feel like uploading was a chore rather than a hobby. BUT... I have a new Laptop which makes uploading so much easier and I've uploaded 3 times over the past three days! Im thinking another upload later, maybe 2?? Plus, it's the weekend starting tomorrow which makes it easier for me to upload more over the next two days.

I'm not promising uploads every day but would really like to upload at least twice a week. However, I would not like to promise an upload every week because I have recently started my A-levels which means school is going to get very hectic over the next few months and I will always choose education over this story.

On another note... over 5k reads!!! When did that happen! It's so crazy and I cannot thank you enough for sticking around and voting!
