Hi guys! Thanks for sticking with me through this book, nearly 800 views! Please make sure you check chapter 13 as I have updated it since I first published it. Also, it is about to become a bit more like Doctor Who. If you have any suggestions or want the story to take either a more Doctor Who, or a more Hogwarts path, please comment. Thanks!

"Well, for the last few weeks we have suspected the fourth founder of Hogwarts, Salazar Slytherin, of doing something sinister to pupils who are not of direct pure blood. When construction is complete, us three hope to enrol all students with traces of magic, but he begs to differ. Seeing as you are bright, loyal, good friends of Godric and looking for work, could you three please supervise Slazar in secret to ensure he doesn't do anything rash. It is a big task, we know, but it is of crucial importance."

Helga Hufflepuff was the one to deliver the long dialogue in a monotonous tone while the other two looked at their feet in apparent reverence. A fat fly was tapping on the stained-glass window which went after Hermione muttered 'confugiunt abire' at it. Rowena Ravenclaw, in her wisdom, picked up on this charm, and made a comments to try and lighten the dense atmosphere. She spoke just like Luna in a jumpy voice and a very matter-of-fact way.

"confugiunt abire, that is Latin for 'fly go away'. Most incredible miss, I must remember that."

For a short time after her bubbly voice died down, the silence was kept. The Doctor was concerned about how long this would delay their departure, and Hermione was just examining the practicalities, as she herself was a muggle-born.

"Well Ma'am, if you can provide us with rooms, wizarding robes of a different style and a replacement wand for my friends here who have broken theirs, we will accept 'The Job' for as long as we deem fit."

The three founders looked up relieved and beaming. They knew the severity and danger of the task they had laid for Miss Granger and her friends, but they also knew that they would not find anyone else capable of overseeing such a task. The requests Hermione made were quite reasonable too, and could all easily be fulfilled.

"Hermione and her friends can use my common room, the almighty Gryffindor common room! It is complete and they would be the first people to ever use it. It would be a great honour!"

"I have several midnight blue robes that I can lend out to the three of them. They do have the Ravenclaw crest on them, but that shan't matter."

"My father, Hadley Hufflepuff, is a wand maker and can give your friend a wand at an hours notice! So that is that. All of your requests are easily fulfilled and you can start as late as two days from now. No where is off limits, just make sure that you know your way through the finished parts of the castle before you start work!"

Rowena shuffled away to get the olden style wizarding robes from the wardrobe in her allotment of the Headmaster's office. Everyone hoped for goodness that the nargles had thinned, for they most certainly did not want to have a hold up like the one before. Helga sent a lovely golden owl the size of a bald eagle off to her father, with a letter entailing her request for a wand of dragon-heartstring for two of her friends who had lost theirs.

Meanwhile, Godric had rummaged through various large, wooden trunks until he had produced very new-looking, leather bound books. He scrawled something with a peacock quill in each book before levitating them in the vague direction of Helga. Using a scratchy hippogriff feather as a quill, Helga scribbled something in them before shooting them in the wake of Rowena Ravenclaw.

" So I just have a few questions about watching this dude."

Everyone was surprised at Jack for being involved enough to actually ask a question and Helga was mildly shocked at hearing the sound of his voice.

" One - How long do we watch him for?
Two - Have you found any leads?
Three - Is it dangerous much? "

Again, an awkward silence smothered the air and all that could be heard were the faint rumblings from the builders working on the castle and the oddly muffled sounds from Rowena's room. Helga bit her lip, but still managed to answer Jack's questions in her fluent voice with much confidence.

"One - You need to watch him until the school opens, so roughly a month.
Two - No, we have not found any leads, however, we know that he wants to plant
a monster in a great chamber somewhere, which is a lead I suppose. He keeps
on disappearing from the construction zones, we think to construct this
chamber.
Three - What was question three again?"

Someone muttered the third question and Helga promptly answered.

"Three - We do not know how dangerous it is. We know that it does, however,
require able magicians with good heads and common sense. Unfortunately,
we know that Salazar has taken the lives of non-magic folk, half a dozen of
them. In conclusion, he does have it in him , so Be Wary! "
