Hermione had never known that Salazar had killed anyone. It never came up in any history books, not even in the yellowed pages of the monstrosity 'Hogwarts, A History.' She knew that this information should not surprise her, but just the way he certainly did the crimes shocked her. The wizarding world had felt betrayed when it found out that Albus Dumbledore's father had murdered a few Muggles for his own reasons, and stopped loving Albus as much, yet what would the Slytherins do if they found out their God was a murderer? Probably not much, as they hate Muggles and muggle-borns.

Hermione knew that it was going to be a dangerous task, but it had been made easier because she already knew where to find the mysterious chamber and what it held. She continued on her train of thought and it led her to think of what she had often warned people of. 'Terrible things happen to wizards who travel in time, Harry. You must not be seen.' Yet here she was, revealing her identity to the founders of Hogwarts, asked to destroy and prevent the creation of the Chamber of Secrets.

What would that mean for her 12 year old self? Would that have meant that Voldemort never created horcruxes? Would it mean that Voldemort made a different horcrux that Harry could never find? It was all too uncertain, and Hermione knew that they had to keep a low identity whilst fulfilling their task. They also would need to seemingly complete the task in the eyes of Rowena, Godric and Helga to earn their stay, but still let them know about the chamber of Secrets to keep the legend alive. It was giving Hermione a headache!

Whilst Hermione was thinking hard, Rowena had made her entrance. Perched on one of her slender hands was three folded robes that looked like blue velvet linen, and levitated an arm length in front of her was the three books that had been mysteriously written on. She lowered the books onto a high, mahogany table which Hermione sensed would become Albus Dumbledore's desk in future years, and placed the folded robes into Hermione's arms.

"Here you are dear, you will look exactly like one of us now! I do not know where you have got those scratchy looking things from" she gestured to Jacks black robe that was once Ron's "But these will make you look much more at home!"

Hermione forced a smile as she fought her headache and was now second guessing accepting the mission. She faced her two, very quiet, companions and saw that they were just as strained looking as she supposed she was. After such a draining, all she wanted was to go and rest in front of the fire of the, hopefully familiar, Gryffindor Common Room.

"Excuse me Godric, but we have had a very long day. Could you please show us to your common room?"

Godric Gryffindor nodded furiously and rummaged in a nearby oak chest until he had produced a neatly folded wad of parchment. He unfolded it revealing a marvellously detail map of Hogwarts. It painfully reminded Hermione of the Marauders Map that was still in Harry's possession. Hermione's busy mind lingered on that thought for a moment before she had a sudden realisation; The map was one and the same. James, Sirius, Remus and Peter must have stumbled upon the map during their explorations and hexed it to suit their purpose.

Godric handed the map to the Doctor, as Hermione had her hands full, and pointed out various places on it. Only Jack and the Doctor were giving him their full attention, as Hermione knew the place pretty well already. When he had finished pointing out places on the map, his voice boomed across the room, sharply awaken Hermione from her thoughts.

"Righto, Lady, Gentlemen, if you would follow me, I shall lead the way to my glorious common room where the pupils worthy of being in my house shall spend their days at Hogwarts."

Godric had spun around and had just marched to the door before Helga interrupted in a voice annoyingly like a cross between Headmistress Minerva and Dolores Umbridge.

"Hem hem. Godric, wait. Doctor, Jack, Hermione, come her if you will. Oh Hermiine dear, let me take these for you' she levitated the Ravenclaw robes into the air, freeing Hermione to move.

The three of them walked in front of the three founders and kneeled on one knee following Helgas hand signals. They were positioned one on one, and it was quite awkward.

"Hermione, Jack and the Doctor, we, the founders of Hogwarts, hereby thank you for official duties to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that are soon to preform. You will play an important part in the making of this school, and for that, we thank you!"

Godric, who was standing in front of Hermione, was grinning from ear to ear and had one of the leather bound books in his arms. He gave the book to Hermione, patted her shoulder and gave her a hand up. A similar treatment was being given to Jack and the Doctor, both of whom were equally confused, yet accepted the gift gratefully. Hermione felt inclined to do something, so called a group hug. This satisfied Helga, so, at last, they departed from the Headmasters office and started for the Gryffindor Common Room.

Godric lead the way carrying the robes and Hermione's book, saying it was mere chivalry. He pointed out various distinguishing features and corridors that weren't finished. He also talked about how they were building the castle and which spells were learnt during construction. Usually Hermione, and even the Doctor, would have been hanging on his every word, but they were just too tired to really take it all in.

After many twists, turns and stairs, they reached a humble wooden door that lead to the common room. Godric knocked on the door, and, to everyone's surprise, eyes and a mouth appeared on the door. It smiled at Godric, yet frowned at the others.

"Woody, these are the new inhabitants of my room. I want you to look after them and not let anyone aside from Jack, Hermione, the Doctor, Helga, Rowena and myself in ok?"

The door let out a very low sigh and breathed 'okay' before opening. The four of them walked in, and Hermione was so tired she didn't even admire her surroundings like she should have. She walked straight up the stairs and entered the girls common room. She didn't care if it wasn't hers, but she walked up to the bed positioned where hers was to be, the one on the far left side, and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
