- Eleanor's POV-

I awakened to Louis's soft breathing. I have trouble going to sleep last night. Raylin was my concern. Niall was going to their shared flat today. I hoped she didn't have a rough night. I hoped that whatever the reason he started crying had nothing to do with a sad thought. I knew it did, but I wanted to blind myself from the truth.

I hated when people cried. I hated when people were sad. It kind of just pained me. It was because I had what Lou called a "big heart". I didn't think so, but I wasn't going to argue with him. I was too worried. Raylin was my best friend. I wished I would have called her. I wished I did. I climbed out of bed and walked downstairs. I kept looking at the phone. Should I call her? Should I leave it alone?

I certainly didn't want to be nosy. I hated nosy people and I wouldn't want to be that. I groaned and picked up the phone dialing Raylin and Niall's home number. I pushed the talk button before I could change my mind. It rang a couple of times before someone picked up.

"Hello?" Niall's voice rang out. His voice seemed... tired... I swear I could tell he was crying earlier, but I didn't push it.

"Hello, this is Eleanor." I said biting my lip gently. I was nervous. It really wasn't my business, but I wanted to know if Raylin was okay.

"Hey El, what's up?" Niall said. I could hear him pull himself together.  

"Nothing much... Is Raylin there?" I asked curiously.

"Yeah, she's here. Do you want to talk to her?" Niall said.

 "Yeah. Thanks." I said. I could hang up.... But that would be rude... I didn't want to push Raylin to tell me. I didn't want to be that kind of person...

"Hello? El?" Raylins voice rang out. She sounded tired and I knew that moment something was most definitely wrong.

"Hey Ray, How are you doing?" I asked her. It was silent. It seemed that she was thinking deeply. I thought she hung up on me. I was about to end the call when Raylin spoke.

"I'm. I'm doing okay." she said. I was about to say something when Raylin interrupted.

"No I'm not going to lie to you. I'm horrible. I can't sleep. I can't eat. I've been thinking all day about Casper." She said. She gasped.

"Who's Casper?" I asked quietly. Was it her ex-boyfriend? It couldn't be... Could it? I knew I was thinking for the worst. I shouldn't even be thinking that! I'm her best friend! Why would I think the worst?

"No... It's my brother." Raylin said quietly.

"But- Derrington?" I asked.

"I had." Raylin said and I could hear the tears fall. I didn't move a muscle. Had. That one word hit hard for me. Had.

-Louis POV-

I opened my eyes and blinked a couple times. Morning. I was not a morning person. Not at all. I looked around to find that Eleanor was missing. She was an early riser, so that didn't alarm me. Then I heard crying. It had to be El.

I quickly ran down the stairs to find Eleanor in tears. "Eleanor! Oh my gosh." I pulled her into my arms.

"H-h-had." Eleanor muttered.

"Shhhhhhhhh..... El... What's wrong?" I asked.

"Lou.. R-Raylin h-had a b-brother." Eleanor said.

"But what about-"

"His name is Casper... He was Raylins twin." Eleanor sobbed. I hated seeing her like this. I just wanted to take the pain away.

"Is that why-"

"Yes. Casper died because of a drunk driver. He was so young...." Eleanor said looking at her hands. She seemed to stop crying and I relieved.

"Eleanor?" I asked.

"Yeah?" She said.

"You can be there for her. That's what you can do." I said to her smiling.

"Kay" She said.

"Eleanor, you have such a big heart. So much empathy." I said whispering in her ear.

"Thanks Louis." She said fully smiling.

"Your welcome." I said and kissed the top of her head. Eleanor was so sweet.

Sorry so short! It was a cute Eleanor and Louis moment right? Sorry about how short it is again. It was going to be long, but I didn't want to put something not edited. It's a busy weekend for me...
