ㅏ[a]
ㅓ[eo]
ㅗ [o]
ㅜ [u]
ㅡ [eu]
ㅣ[i]
ㅔ [e]
ㅐ [ae]
ㅑ [ya]
ㅕ [yeo]
ㅝ [weo]
ㅘ [wa]
ㅞ [we]
ㅙ [wae]
ㅟ [wi]
ㅢ [ui]
ㅛ [yo]
ㅠ [yu]
ㅖ [ye]
ㅒ [yae]
ㅚ [we]
Confusing pronunciations:
"eo" - parang 'uhhh' (gets nyo?). Like the sound of 'a' in FALL (aw).
"eu" - stuck between 'u' and 'i'. Diba kapag 'u', nakanguso? Sa 'eu', hindi nakanguso.
"ae" - para rin lang siyang 'e' diba? Pero hinde. Basahin nyo na lang as it is, 'ey' pero medyo soft.
Same goes with yeo/weo, yae/wae.Notice:
ㅝ [weo]
ㅘ [wa]
ㅞ [we]
ㅙ [wae]
Anong napapansin nyo? Take for example, ㅝ.
ㅜ + ㅓ = ㅝ
Bakit hindi ㅗ + ㅓ,diba? Gets nyo ako?
Okay, remember this.
There are vowel symbols that cannot be combined together.
Vowel Harmony Principle
Bright vowels/ Yang Vowels ang characters na ㅏ at ㅗ as well as ㅙ, ㅘ, ㅐ, and ㅒ(kasi dinerive naman sila galing sa ㅏ at ㅗ diba?)
Dark vowels/ Yin Vowels naman ang characters ㅓ at ㅜ along with ㅝ, ㅞ, at ㅖ.
Neutral vowels naman ang ㅣ at ㅡ.
Magagamit nyo din yan later on.
That's all for today. Thank you!
