Chapter Eight
Felicite's POV
I groaned as I felt something heavy fall onto my bed. Rolling over, I glared at the unfortunate person who had dared interrupt my sleep.
"Louisa..." I whined.
"Get up, it's Sunday. So much to do, so little time."
"Like what??"
"I dunno, get breakfast, drop water on you..."
Before I could even frown in confusion, I gasped as a fist-sized drop of water splashed down onto my face from its previous position of floating in midair.
Shrieking, I threw the blanket off and jumped up. "I'm going to kill you!"
"First you have to catch me!"
I sprinted after her, but couldn't catch her before she fled from the room, into the hall. Unfortunately, she was already dressed and I wasn't prepared to go running through the dorm halls in my pajamas.
Just before she went out of shouting range, she called, "See you at breakfast!"
I groaned before retreating back into our room to get ready.
Ten minutes later I entered the cafe, and headed over to our normal table.
"Good morning, nice of you to show up," Louisa joked.
I simply picked up a glass of water, walked behind her, and emptied it's contents onto her head. "Yes, it is a good morning, isn't it."
I sat down next to her as she closed her eyes, and the water droplets made their way out of her hair and clothes, back into the cup.
"Sushi," I muttered.
"Love you too."
We sat in silence for a few minutes as I forgave her, but it was broken by Ryder.
"You guys are weird."
"Yep," we both replied in sync, causing all four of us to crack up laughing.
"I'm sorry Cece, I promise not to do it tomorrow morning." Louisa apologised. Before I could send her a grateful smile, she continued. "Not saying anything about the day after though..."
"Where do I go to get a room change?" I asked Connor.
"Well, I think if you go down to the dean's office after school..."
"You're hilarious," Louisa.
"I hate to interrupt," said Ryder looking at something over my shoulder, "But I think Felicite has a visitor..."
This caused Louisa and I to spin round, and once I saw who it was, I immediately spun back.
Shooting Connor and Ryder a 'kill me' look, I braced myself for his arrival.
"Felicite.." he said. "Fancy running into you here."
I turned to face him, glaring inwardly. "I live here."
"Ahh, that would explain it. I think there are dorms though, you don't have to live in the cafe."
I rolled my eyes, but had to laugh a little.
"What do you want, Carter?"
"Just thought since I have a bit of free time, we should do some of that history assignment."
"What a shame our free time doesn't overlap. I'm busy."
Unfortunately, my last sentence was quickly followed by a "she'd love too," from Louisa.
