Louisa POV

I woke to the sound of curtains being opened, and sunlight casting flames onto my eyelids.

Scrunching my eyes shut, I pulled a blanket up over my face, and proceeded to forget that the rest of the world existed. For a few seconds.

"Rise and shine!" came a voice.

I responded with a groan.

"Shine and rise then, if rising and shining isn't your thing"

Before I could make another sound, the cruel human who calls herself Felicite wrenched the blankets out of my grasp, fully exposing me to the sunlight. I opened an eye, and squinted at the clock. It read only 7:30am.

"Fel...." I groaned, "I have a whole half hour before I have to get up"

"Not if you want food, we're going to the cafe this morning"

I lay there for a few seconds, my brain not quite awake enough to have reached it's top processing speed yet.

"Cupboard", I managed to get out.

Felicite looked at me for a few seconds, and then at the closest cupboard, and then back to me, clearly confused.

"Cereal, cupboard, we don't need to get up yet"

"Ahh, but you see, we are out of cereal. Which means you have about 7 and a half minutes to get up and dressed before I ditch you for food"

I opened my other eye, "Fine, but give me my blanket back"

She threw it at me, and for the best second of my life, it shielded my eyes from the sun. "Get up. Get dressed. 7 minutes"

I slowly sat up, blanket wrapped around me, and wandered towards the bathroom.

A few minutes later I re-emerged, teeth brushed and hair marginally acceptable. I proceeded to collapse back on my bed.

"Ready?" Felicite asked.

"Uh huh," I replied.

A few seconds passed before Felicite spoke again. "You're going to the cafeteria in a blanket?"

"If Sherlock can go to Buckingham Palace in nothing more than a sheet, I'm sure I can manage"

"True, but Sherlock didn't have a wizard intent on ruining his life"

I groaned for about the 328734th time this morning. Mornings are evil. Keegan is evil. Everything is evil.

"I'm sure he'd be able to find a way to add it into his history report"

"Maybe I could blackmail him with that picture from yesterday," I muttered, half to myself.

"Picture?" Fel asked, curious.

"I'll tell you at breakfast, I'll just go get dressed really quickly"

As I left the room, she shouted after me, "3 minutes!"

~~~~~*~*~*~*~*~*~~~~~~~
After a few minutes in the cafeteria surrounded by hundreds of other shouting teens, and a cup of un-surprisingly vile coffee, I could finally say that I was awake.
~KINDA TINY FLASHBACK TO A FEW MINUTES AGO~
When we had reached the cafeteria, the entrance had been blocked by a writhing mass of outraged students. The new seating arrangements had been printed, and were apparently being strictly enforced within the building.
I'd forgotten about that! My soul focus had been on food. My heart jumped into my throat at the thought of being forced to sit with some random wizards or necromancers or just any kind of randoms, for the rest of the year. With some effort, Fel and I managed to weave through the throng of bodies and see the lists for ourselves.
