I managed to find Loki. Three days after he abandoned me in the Tesseract recovery aftermath. Needless to say I was not in the best of moods when I finally caught up with him.

Out of all the hiding spots he'd had to pick from, the underground abandoned subway that he picked looked like the best choice. It was one very long hallway to the central hub which was good for defense purposes. Bad for the guards standing in my way when I swooped in. They fired a hailstorm of bullets but none ever touched me. Human-made weapons are slower to the non-human eye, so it was easy to maneuver around the shots. I dove at the guards with my sword and backhanded several men with the flat of it. The sounds of gunfire drew even more men in tight fitting armor but I didn't care. I was able to get a warm-up before my confrontation with Loki. I dispatched the latest hoard of guards and found the hallway they were running from. Using one of my spare daggers, I blocked the door they were rushing through.

Loki and I were going to have to have a talk about security protocol. This army of enslaved humans was pathetic. Not to mention the severe issue that if an enemy could block the guards' entrance point, then there wasn't any point in having guards. That should have been obvious. It was one of the easiest strategies I learned.

I relaxed once I didn't see any more guards rushing me. I shot up into the air and sped towards the other voices I could hear. Loki had the scepter pressed against some poor male soldier's heart and there was a row of kneeling men and women after the man each being held by blue glassy eyed slaves. The boy relaxed and stood up, bowing to Loki as he did.

I wasn't going to sit around here and wait for Loki to finish making more people he could use to attack me. "Hey bacraut (Norse for asshole)."

Loki looked around. When he found me, his eyes widened. I could hear his heart racing and I felt powerful for a second. It was good to know he knew that he'd really screwed up. He regained his composure quicker than I would have expected for someone who acted as scared as he did. Then again I don't think he was afraid of me so much as he was afraid of what my father would do to him if Loki screwed this up in any way.

The fear in his eyes faded away replaced by his iconic sneer. "Hel, what are you doing here? Did you not understand that you have no business being here? I would have thought that a commander like yourself would have gotten the hint when I left you in the desert."

"I missed you too," I flashed over to him with a burst of speed from my wings. I punched him in the face. He groaned and I bashed my elbow into the back of his skull as he knelt to clutch his face. I kicked his legs out from under him and grabbed the scepter he was holding. I yanked him up by his armor and shoved him into a wall. The god lifted his hand to cast some kind of magic but I pointed the scepter at his chest. He froze, dropping his hand.

I smiled. "Good so you remember how this works."

Loki didn't say anything. He continued to glare at me though. I was starting to think that he didn't like me, or my position over him.

I wasn't intimidated. "Well little god, what do you have to say for yourself? It's not very nice to leave a woman stranded alone."

"You're not exactly a woman."

I refrained from punching him, but only just. My father has a temper and it was passed onto me, just in smaller dosages. I wasn't as volatile as he was, but I had my moments. This was working up to be one of those.

I pressed the scepter into his chest harder, to emphasize my point. "I really don't appreciate being left to deal with your garbage. Remember who's in charge of who here. My king told you to follow my lead and what do you do? Charge into battle without even a hint of a plan and make our plans known to the enemy."
