ALLEY POV

"Alley....Alley"
I could hear someone calling my name. I slowly opened my heavy eyes to find mum and Charlie standing at the end of my hospital bed. Once I saw them they both rushed to my side. Charlie stroked my hair and mum squeezed my hand.

"You did good kiddo" Charlie said with a faint smile.

"Is she..." I asked, not being able to finish the question.

"She's beautiful" My mother finished. A wave of relief filled me, my baby is ok.

"Where is she?"

"The doctor wanted to do some final tests just to make sure but they will bring her in soon" mum told me.  I was very anxious to see my little girl.

*knock, knock* "Hey, your awake. I have someone who wants to meet you" A nurse stood at the door holding a pink bundle. Charlie practically ran over to her. The nurse handed the little girl to Charlie who seemed very natural holding her. I watched as he looked lovingly at our baby, protectively clutching her wrapped in her blanket. He held her close to his chest and looked down at her while carefully bringing her over to me. I eagerly sat up and craned my neck to see my little girl.

Charlie bent down next to me and showed me our beautiful baby. She had bright green eyes, a tiny button nose and soft brunette hair on top of her head. "She's beautiful"

"I know, just like her mother"  Charlie winked at me and then smiled. Charlie tried to put her in my arms but I quickly refused, I wasn't ready to hold her.

"What's wrong?" Charlie asked with a look of concern. "I don't want to hurt her"

"She's your baby Alley, you won't hurt her" mum cut in. I shook my head in response. Charlie got into the bed beside me so I could see her without having to hold her just yet. He put one of his arms around me so she was on me but he was still the one supporting her tiny body.

"What are you going to name her?" Mum asked. I looked up at Charlie then down at our baby, "Emma Grace Addison"

"So you finally decided on something simple, it's nice, it suits her" mum approved.

"Addison?" Charlie asked slightly shocked

"Addison- Graham doesn't hyphenate well"

"Then why wouldn't she have your last name, your her mother"

"Your her father. You will stay and be her father?"

"Of course it's just a big... I don't know"

"Trust me I know; it's the right thing"

"Ok, Emma Addison it is then"
