CHARLIE POV
Amanda came over to spend the day with Alley. So I decided I'd take Emma out to the diner. I placed Emma in a placed high chair and sat in the seat beside her. Emma took the menu from my hands as I began reading it. I couldn't help laughing at her little hands trying to hold the big menu.
"And what can I get you, handsome" said a perky blonde waitress.
"Um, the pancakes thanks."
"At 12:30?"
"Why not?"
The waitress raised her eyebrow, nodded and scribbled it onto her notepad.
"And for your adorable...sister?"
"Em's my daughter"
"Oh" and with that she was off. I was beginning to get used to the disapproving looks and whispers. I love Emma and my age isn't going to change that.
"Up?" Her little hands reached out to me and held the cuff of my jacket.
I can't resist her so I got her out of her chair and took her over to look at the fish tank.
"Ooh...ooh...ooh" everything is very interesting through Emma's eyes.
