Doesn't…? Chp 2

Jason’s POV

The Twin Princesses woke me up from my dream, trampling all over my bed, causing me to groan.

"Jason! Jason! Wake up! Wake up!" they shouted in unison.

Looking up, I glared playfully at my sisters. I don’t like getting woken up, but these girls always know how to put a smile on my face. "Who dares awake the prince from his slumber?" I bellowed, pushing down a smile when they started giggling.

"It's us, the princesses!" They giggled in their adorable little voices.

I let a grin escape as I encased the two four-year olds in my arms, chuckling at their giggles. "And why were the princesses sent to wake me on a weekend?" I asked, attempting to raise my eyebrow, something that I always bid to accomplish, but fail every time. As they processed my question, their faces grew confused and they blinked at each other.

"Today is Monday," they said in unison.

My eyes widened and my face turned into one of shock. My hands dropped to my sides and the twins ran out the room, their pink tutus brushing against one another. I scrambled out of bed to look at the clock, but instead got my legs stuck in the sheets, resulting in me falling on the floor and dragging the bed a couple of inches with my bodyweight. Groaning, I looked up at the clock and it read 5:30. "Dang it!" I yelled in a hushed tone, just in case the twins were in hearing range.

Taking a minute to untangle myself from the sheets, I stumbled to the bathroom, kicking the rest of the sheets off my ankles in the process. When I finished my shower, I got dressed in a white V-neck and black jeans. I walked down the stairs and grabbed my leather jacket off the hook. As I walked into the kitchen, I grabbed the apple Candie was offering up to me and set her on my shoulders. I took a bite and accepted the juice box Katie was holding up, picking her up as well.

"So, what are you two doing up this early?" I asked.

"Daddy said he would take us out for a run!" They exclaimed.

I chuckled slightly, handing Candie the rest of my apple, and Katie the rest of my juice box. They slid down my arms and ran towards the playroom. I grabbed my bag and waved goodbye to my sisters. Sliding into my black mustang, I quickly drove to school, waving to my neighbor, Mrs. Carlson and her Pomeranian pooch.

"Hey, hot stuff!" A girlish squeal came from beside me at a red light.

I turned to my right to see three girls, two blondes and a brunette, all wearing daisy dukes, Ray Ban’s, and low-cut tank tops. Why do I always attract these types of girls? I rolled my eyes at their drooling mouths and slammed my foot on the gas as soon as the light turned green. A few minutes later, I veered into the parking lot, smiling inwardly when I saw Ashley's parking spot empty. I hopped over the door and locked it. As I made my way to the school doors, I knew what awaited me. First days were always so predictable; initiations and long lectures that put you to sleep. I walked over to my locker and grabbed all the books I needed. I was about to walk away to find the guys, when the doors swung open, revealing a girl with a smirk plastered on her face. I've never seen her before. She had gorgeous dirty blonde hair with a neon pink stripe and the reddest lips I've ever seen. She walked with the grace of an angel and the confidence of an Olympic gold medalist; her black sunglasses covering her eyes.

I observed her every motion, not letting anything about her stance escape my view. She walked up to one of the nerds and I could barely make out their conversation. I only caught her “thank you” and the wink she gave him, causing me to feel an unknown pang of jealously, anger, and the urge to protect her.
