Chapter Fifteennnnnnnnnnn.

*Julians POV*

At some point in our lives we meet someone. Someone that you can talk to about anything and everything, someone that becomes our world, our everything. That person becomes the reason we breathe, the reason we live. They become a part of us. They are the reason we wake up in the morning and the reason we don’t get enough sleep at night because we keep thinking about them and only them.

We will always be there for them no matter what and catch them when they fall, knowing they will do the same for us. When we are sad, just by seeing that one person, it makes our world light up. It’s small things like the way they move their hair out of their face or play with a loose strand of hair and look down when they are nervous that make us want to be around them and like them.

Without them our world would be empty, a lifeless pit of darkness. We would keep all of our thoughts to ourselves. If we lost them we would have no reason to breathe or continue to live. We would feel like we have lost half of ourselves. Our hearts would be broken.

This is all a part of falling in love and meeting your soul mate. You accept everything that comes with love and everything that comes with that person when you fall for them.

I wasn’t expecting all of this when I met Scarlett, the girl of my dreams. I didn’t believe in true love or soul mates, or even love at first sight. All of that changed when I saw her in that totalled car on the side of the road, her beautiful face marred by a cut and blood. I had felt the sudden urge to protect her and keep her safe, and when we brought her back to the house, I didn’t want to leave her. At that stage I didn’t know I loved her.

My mother had explained to me once about each vampire having a soul mate, I didn’t believe her until, that is, I met Scarlett.

I love Scarlett Elisabeth Montgomery.

And since I have to carry on my families noble blood and my mother said ill have to do it eventually, im going to ask Scarlett to marry me. Okay, that made it sound like I was being forced into this. I’m not, I want to do this.

But first I’m going to need help with my plan about where I’m going to ask her and how.

I also need to ask Violet for permission.

“Emilia, can I talk to you for a second?” I ask as I walk into the spacious lounge room.

“Yeah, sure, what about bro?” she asks while jumping off of the couch like a little silver bullet.

“Come into the kitchen or something?” I ask her looking at her directly.

“Um, why?” she asks looking at me, curiosity burning in her eyes.

I look pointedly at Christian who is sitting playing Harry Potter on the playstation.

“Oh,” She says as it dawns on her that I would like to talk to her alone. “we could go to my room?” She suggests.

“Good idea.” I say smiling brightly.

It has been two weeks since we took Scarlett to hospital and she was told she had hypothermia. She is better now and off talking to Violett somewhere, so she won’t catch me talking to Emilia.

Emilia and I make our way up the stairs and just as we reach the top we here a shrill girly squeal.

What the hell? I think as I glance worriedly at Mia. Was it Scarlett that screamed?
