Julians POV.

“Mum?” I ask into the phone.

“Yes?”

“I have something to tell you.”

“What is it son?”

“Please don’t be mad.”

“What have you done?” She demands.

“Nothing, it’s nothing bad.”

“What is it then?”

“I asked Scarlett to marry me and she said yes.” I burst out.

“What’s wrong with that?” she says actually sounding excited.

“She’s pregnant too, although that is not wrong and we already love the child.”

“S-Scarlett’s pregnant?” She stutters out.

“Yes.” At least she doesn’t sound too mad.

“I thought it was a myth…” She whispers.

“What mum? That what’s a myth?” I demand.

“That vampires could get humans pregnant…” she trails off leaving something unsaid.

“What else mum?”

“How far along is she?” She asks, ignoring my question.

“Well, nine/ ten days… But…”

“But what?”

“We went and got an ultrasound and they told us she is three months pregnant. That means for every three – three and a half days is equal to a month in normal pregnancy… That means she is due in eighteen to twenty days…”

“Oh god, it’s true.” My mother cries into the phone.

“What mum? What’s true?” I say sounding panicked.

“I’ll be as home as soon as I can.”

“Mu-“ she hangs up.

Scalett’s POV.

Three days later (Friday morning.)

I am now at the stage of the equivalency of four months pregnant. That means in fifteen to seventeen days I am going to have my baby. I am actually freaking out. I have even started looking stuff up on the laptop about pregnancy and what my baby is like now. I am sitting on the floor with the laptop on my legs, Julian is in the kitchen making me fish fingers and custard.

Looking down I pat my now-beginning-to-show-better baby bump.

My baby is now in between 4.3 and 4.6 inches long and weighs about 3 ounces.

“Are you going to be a boy or girl?” I ask it.

And something bumps against my hand. The babies kicking! Oh my god!

“Julian!” I call out excitedly. The baby kicks my hand again.

“What?” he asks coming into the room bringing my fish fingers and custard with him.

“Put the food on the table and come here.” I command and move the laptop onto the floor beside me.

He does as I ask and puts the food onto the table and comes and kneels down beside me.
