"Wirt, can we take a break? My legs hurt..." Gregory's complaint sounded from behind Wirt as the two walked. Wirt sighed, and stepped back a few paces for Gregory. "No, but I can give you a piggy back ride!" Wirt said, plastering a smile over his worry. Gregory smiled, his eyes lighting up. "Yay!" He lifted his arms, and Wirt picked him up, setting him on his shoulders. "Onwards horsie!" Greg playfully demanded, earning a small laugh from Wirt. "Of course, my heroic knight!" The older brother chimed, imitating a horse's whinnie and speed walking forwards. Suddenly, a childish but not so creepy giggle sounded through the woods. Wirt stopped, glancing around. "That...that couldn't have been you, was it Greg?" He asked, looking up at the small boy sat on his shoulders. Greg shook his head. "Sorry! I was taking a walk and couldn't help but to overhear you guys. You two are adorable!" A feminine voice rang through the forest as a (b/t) (<body type ex- slim, chubby, etc.) figure stepped out from the overgrown brush, revealing a girl with (h/l),
(h/c) haired girl with (s/c) skin,
(e/c) eyes, and a bright smile. She was wearing a cute little dress, nothing fancy, though. It was knee length, in light (blue or green, your choice. I'd do favorite color but light red or orange would look a little silly :P no offense if you like that color) "That's fine! I'm Greg! And this is George Washington!" Gregory chirped, holding up his frog. The girl giggled, lifting her hand to her mouth. "I'm (y/n). Nice to meet you!" She held out a hand, which Greg shook, and lowered it towards Wirt. Wirt shook his head, a light blush crawling to his face. "Sorry! Blanked out there for a second..." Wirt lightly chuckled and shook (y/n)'s hand. "I'm Wirt!" He said. (Y/n)'s eyes sparkled. "Such a unique name!" She said with a childish smile "You mean you don't think its silly or something?" Wirt asked, lifting a brow. "Are you kidding?" (Y/n) asked. "Your name is amazing!" She exclaimed. Wirt blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Thanks! I never really hear that about my name so..."
"Well you should! Wirt..." (Y/n) lifted a hand to her chin as if calculating the name. "Is it French or something?" She asked. Wirt simply laughed and gave a shook of his head. "My parents just wanted to try something new, I guess. Kinda like what you said earlier. Unique." (Y/n) nodded. "Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen you before. Where are you from?" She asked with a bright smile. "Actually, we're kinda lost. Do you mind telling us where we are?" Wirt asked with a sheepish smile. (Y/n)'s positivity faltered, and she grabbed his left arm with her right, yanking him so close that his nose was only a few inches from hers. "How long have you been here?" She asked in a low voice. "Si-since last night..." Wirt trailed in confusion at her change of attitude. (Y/n)'s eyed widened. "You survived?" She asked. Wirt's eyebrows furrowed. "Um...yeah?" He replied in a confused tone
(I know he heard about the beast on his first night but I'm changing it up X3 )
(Y/n) ran her fingers through her hair, pushing back her bangs even though they just tumbled hack down. She open her mouth to scold him, but she immediately shut it. He's not from around here...how was he to know? She thought. How was he not to know!? This is the beast we're talking about here! (Y/n) sighed and rubbed her temples. "Do you know what the beast is?" She asked, fixing Wirt a concerned glare from the spaces of her fingers, her hands still against her head.
"N-no..." Wirt sputtered nervously. "The beast is a horrifying creature of the shadows, his true form never shown long enough to describe. Every sighting had been reported that they only caught a glimpse. Anybody that got a good look at it never lived to tell the tale!" Wirt furrowed his eyebrows. "If they never survived to tell the tale, then how do you know it ever happened to anyone?" He objected. "Because the plot demands it" (y/n) replied, her voice lowering again. The two burst into laughter, Gregory, still on Wirt's shoulders, noticed this, and despite the fact that he wasn't really listening, started laughing too. (Y/n) Straightened herself up and pushed her bangs back again, though, much like the first time, they slid back down. "But seriously, the Beast is nothing to be reckoned with. Follow me, I'll take you to the village and we can get you some things. You know, weapons, food, that stuff." She said turning and motioning for Wirt to follow.

((I know this is stupid but bear with me Kay?))
