Wirt sat dumbfounded, calculating the new information. "You're saying the guy you told us to avoid, the guy who you claimed was the worst in the whole unknown is your dad!?" Wirt raised an eyebrow. "Yep...that's him..." She said, glaring at the sky. "It's so stupid...I mean, Mom hates him, I hate him, and I'm pretty sure even Oreo hates him! But still, he wants to stick around and act like he cares!" (y/n) hugged her knees, pulling them to her chest. At a lack of words, Wirt placed a hand on her shoulder. "(y/n), I...wait, what do you mean acts?" He asked. "It uh...I'll tell you later." (y/n) said, hugging herself tighter and staring at the ground. "O-ok..." Wirt said, scooting a smidge closer, and pulling her into a side hug. (y/n) half-smiled at him and hugged back. "I won't tell anyone, okay? And if you want to talk anything out..." Wirt motioned to himself, giving (y/n)  sweet smile. "Well, thanks Wirt." (y/n) said, standing up. Don't count on it, though.
Wirt grabbed her hand as she turned to the door. "W-wai-geez! Your hands are cold!" Wirt exclaimed, sidetracking himself from his attempt to keep her outside. "Well, yeah, it's freezing out here." (y/n) retorted. "Well maybe..." Wirt motioned to his cape and took it off. "It's really warm." He offered. (y/n) internally sighed and sat back down next to Wirt. "Thanks." She said with a small smile, wrapping it around Wirt and herself. A comfortable silence fell over the two as they gazed up at the stars.
One more night before it all changes.
