Wirt slowly opened the door to the tavern (y/n) told of, Greg following behind. He looked around, taking in his surroundings and walked over to the bartender. "Uhm, excuse me...do you know where the tavern keeper is?" He asked, but before the bartender gave a reply, what looked, and sounded like betty boop walked over. "That'd be me, cutiepie! What can I do for ya?" She asked, a smile on her face. "Oh! Uh, we're lost, and a friend of ours, (y/n), sent us here-" "Oh, (y/n)? She's such a doll!" Wirt blushed as (y/n) locked herself in his mind. "Yeah, I know...bu-but that's not important! She said one of you might know how to get us home?" "Oh, I'm so sorry, peach pot! I don't know. But, I have some food on the house for ya! Go ahead and sit on down over there!" She said, pointing at a table across the tavern. The two boys sat down, Greg setting his frog down on the table, next to the window besides it. "Hey! Maybe I can help you! You are Wirt, right?" A small voice whispered. Wirt turned to the window to see a bluebird on the window sill. "Wh-wha-" "Sh!" She said, cutting Wirt off. "Trust me, talking birds are nothing new in the unknown." She said, tucking in her wings. Wirt nodded, swallowing a gulp of air. "(y/n) sent me to find you. I know how to get you home!" She said. "Really? How?" Wirt asked. "I can take you to Adelaide of the pasture! She can help you get home! Plus, (y/n) will be waiting there for you!" Wirt smiled, a blush warming his cheeks. "That's great! We'll go after dinner, is that alright?" He asked. "Sure. I'll be waiting outside. Be quick!" She said, fluttering off. Just as she did, the tavern keeper brought their food. "Here you go, doll! Good luck getting yourselves home!" She chirped. But, thanks to (y/n), they already had it.
