Training

I wake up this morning and throw on some clothes. Today I am going to train for the exams. I get out my weapons and strap them on. When I walk out the door, a summoning hawk circles above my head. I teleport into the Hokage's building in front of his office. I knock and hear a gruff "Come in". I open the door and ask. "Oji-sama, you called me here?" I stand in the middle of his office. "Yes, I would like to discuss your training for the exams. What could it be? "I would like you to be trained under my authority as your sensei. Are you opposed? You are as strong if not stronger than many jonin," he lays his hands on his desk. "I would be honored sir," I bow. I hear him chuckle lightly. "Please child, no need for such formalities. We can begin training today if you would like," I look up as he stands. "That would be great!" I smile. "Good, go out to the private training ground on top of the hokage mountain. Begin practicing jutsu and I will be there in a moment,"

"Hai!" I teleport out of the building and run to the top of the mountain to get the blood flowing. When I climb to the top, I hear. "You took forever, why didn't you just teleport?" the Hokage is dresses in ninja attire. "Wanted to go for a light jog before we started. I didn't expect you to get here so quickly," I reply. Without warning, he attacks me. I throw up my arms and block. I push him off and unsheathe my twin daggers. We parry back and forth until I jump back and infuse chakra into my blades. I sprint head on towards him but quickly transported behind him and nick his back with both. He reaches behind himself, grabs my shoulders, and body slams me on the ground. I quickly use the substitution jutsu before I land. While, he focuses on the log, I create a clone and send her to directly punch him. He blocks the punch, leaving him most likely with a bruise. I use shadow cloak jutsu and use a chakra infused kick and nail him in the back. He lands on the ground and quickly retaliates with an earth jutsu. It was a fist shaped rock that pins me to a tree, rendering my immobile. He slowly walks over to me. He releases the jutsu and says, "Now run 500 laps around the village. I will meet you tomorrow at dawn afterwards.

Next Day

I wake up sore from my run. I grab my gear and head to the training ground. When I get there, he says "taijutsu" and begins throwing punches at me. We go back and fourth punching and kicking each other. He lands plenty of hits on me but I land just as many. After two hours straight of combat we work on weaponry.

When the sunset, he tells me, "500 sit ups then go home and eat a high protein meal. Take ibuprofen and ice your muscles." He leaves me on the mountain and I complete the sit ups and hobble home.

About two weeks later

I have come a far way in just two weeks. I am covered in new bruises and scars but the are worth it. I have learned new jutsus, attack patterns, and tactics in the process. Mostly by immersion I learn these topics.I wake up late and freak out. I throw on my gear and teleport to the mountain. He is standing there. "Sorry, I slept i-"

"Its 7:00 in the evening" he says simply. "I'm very sorry si-"

"Today I treat you to barbecue and conclude your training for you to have time before the exams," I blink in surprise. I nod slowly and he beckons my closer. "My treat" I grin and we saunter down the mountain.

We walk to the restaurant and take a seat at a table. "Choose what you want, it doesn't matter," I grin and look down at my menu. The waitress come up to our table. "What would you two like today?"

"I will have the chicken and broccoli for the grill" the hokage looks up at her.

"I will have the beef and noodles for the grill" I answer back. "Great. I will get that for you monetarily," she smiles and walks off. Oji-sama and I chat back and fourth until the food arrives. We place ours on separate side of the small grill in front of us. While we cook, " I would have promoted you to jonin immediately if I could, but I have to follow rules and have you take the exams first." " I am honored you would say that," I bow slightly. He holds up his hands, almost in defense. "Really, No formalities are needed. I are like my own granddaughter. Just Oji-san is great." "o-okay oji-san" he chuckles lightly. "That's better dear." We talk while we cook the food. Soon, it finishes and we eat. After awhile he pays and tells me, "I have something I want to give you for your hard work and dedication." He pulls out a small black box. I slowly take the box and open it. I pull out a red cord bracelet with a dragon clasp. I gaze at the piece of jewelry and smile. "It's amazing. And it doesn't look like it world break if I wore it in battle. Thank you Oji-san!" I trot to his side of the table and hug him. I release him and he says,"I know you carry the will of fire that will keep Konoha alive. I see it in your eyes." he smiles up at me. "I am honored to carry out the will of fire," I smile back fighting happy tears. "It is dark now. I suggest you get home to sleep," I looks at his wristwatch with concern. "And you as well. I hope we can spend time like this again. Bye Oji-san!" I wave as I trot out of the restaurant.

Little did I realize, that we wouldn't be able to spend a full day together again. But at least I tried.
