(so we're taking the long way home, cause i don't wanna be wasting my time alone.)
ANDREA'S POV
the next day was normal, and so was the whole week. I had been learning on ways to cook with Martha, and I had finally asked Liz for Martha to do the housework only and the cooking would be put on me. I felt bored, and even if Liz wants me to go to work with her, what would I do there? yes, I do have a point there.
Liz bought me a phone, but I'm not really good at using it. the only contacts I have is Liz, Luke and Martha. I would add Barry's and maybe even rose but I have no idea what their numbers are. thus, I was really really lonely.
Luke was out and about, and I only have daily eye contact with him, since he was mostly busy outside. I was curious, but I didn't have the guts to ask him. he might get the wrong idea, so I didn't bother.
so, that morning when I came downstairs to serve breakfast for everybody, I was shocked to meet an awake Luke walking in the front door. jerking an eyebrow at him, he snickered and followed my lead to the kitchen.
he grabbed a water bottle from the fridge, and I prepared the batter for some waffles. it seemed like a nice idea, and I think Adam wanted some since yesterday.
"so, we're back to not talking?" his raspy voice greeted my eardrums well, and I lifted the corner of my lips slightly only to be turning around to face him.
"not my fault someone was too busy to care." I finished mixing up the batter, and decided to heat the pan up with some butter, and grabbed the waffle grid for the shape of the waffles.
"awh, did you miss me?" he asked, slightly leaning against the counter in front of me. I looked up at him, only to dive into the pool of ocean he calls his eyes. I smiled, and quickly shook my head.
"in your dreams, Lucas." he pouted.
"it's Luke, not Lucas."
"whatever Robert." he groaned, and I smiled at my winning achievement.
"fuck, mom must've told you everything and I don't even have a clue what your middle name is." he muttered, and I shrugged. your lost, Lucas Robert Hemmings.
I poured the batter onto the grid, and the waffles were slowly forming into their fluffable shapes. cooking really makes me hungry sometimes. I looked up only to see Luke watching me, and I immediately looked down again. I felt my cheeks heating up and I knew my blood was rising up to my ears. this boy was killing me.
I decided to cut his words, not wanting him to tease me or anything.
"so, you're not busy today?" I asked, and he smiled.
"are you trying to take me out, Andrea?" I scoffed. hell no.
I mean I would, but I'm not the one with the balls here.
forgot I said that. shit.
"I meant to - no, I was just - ugh." such a way to fuck up Andy. I flipped the waffles over, and set up a plate out to serve them. I can feel Luke watching me with a smile on his lips, and I couldn't help but blush, again.
"I was just wondering since you just came in, and you're never up this early, so yeah, that's why I was asking if you were going out again since you're always out and I just-," I took Luke by surprise when I started rambling and so he shut me up by leaning over the counter to close my mouth.
I stopped talking.
"I was always outside because of band practice Andy, and I just came back from Mikey's since I was there yesterday. I was actually wondering if I could make up my old brother time for Adam, and you could come with. enough?" he smiled, and I nodded.
