it's been a while chicos.
the trip home was pleasing, since this time she knew Adam would've liked the food she had gotten for him. and her guess was right, as Adam couldn't wipe his grin off his face all the way home.
they had an early dinner, since Adam was hungry and she couldn't stay the night - since she had her night shift. Adam was used to staying in for the night, making sure everything was locked before he fell asleep. he wasn't one to get scared easily, but he knew he had to stay a little brave, after all his sister had done for him anyways.
Andrea got worried sometimes, but she knew it was for the best. leaving Adam behind for the night made her slightly protective - and she made sure he was protected.
this night was cool, as cool as the night when she met the ungrateful man that she had collided with. she didn't know why his face was plastered in her mind, and how she felt like it wasn't a one time thing - or even twice. she wanted the subway meeting to be the last, but she didn't know why she felt like she was going to see him for the rest of her life.
oh please no.
she reached the diner in peace, locking the bicycle behind her. she took her diner snapback and put it on, slowly covering her wavy hair behind it. she greeted some friendly customers with a smile, before letting her eyes wander around, searching for a task to settle.
that was three guys entered, making her stare a bit - they were tall and they had their sunglasses on at night, it definitely made Andrea frown slightly. she pushed the thought away, before nodding to Barry, another old guy who was her workmate - meaning she got the table.
grabbing some menus, she walked over to the table before placing it in front of their seats. she caught a glimpse at some of them, and couldn't help but think that they were attractive. screw that - they were handsome and good looking.
"um, may i write down your orders?" she said, trying to push those unnecessary thoughts away.
a guy with an eyebrow piercing smiled at her, and she couldn't help but think how adorable he looked. she smiled back, before focusing on the main purpose she was there.
"yeah, can i get the hawaiian chicken pizza please? with extra cheese? and a coke would do."
his eyes never left her face, and she quickly jotted down his orders, trying her best not to stare back at him.
"a beef lasagna with a beer please." a sandy haired guy said, pulling her attention and she smiled before writing it down, not bothering to ask if he was old enough. she thought he looked old enough anyways.
her eyes wandered to the other guy who had his eyebrows furrowed at the menu. probably having a tough time picking out his pick of food. she smiled before clearing her throat slightly.
"um the signature hamburger with a pepsi please!" he said, his voice being the most cheery one and she grinned at how he took her aback.
"is that all?" she said, trying her best to make matters look matured and all.
the sandy haired guy frowned, and answered her.
"yeah, we'll call you later on. there should be another one on his way. thanks though." he smiled, making her smile back - it was polite anyways.
she walked away to the kitchen, sending their orders and she thought about how those young teenagers would pick this diner of all places. it wasn't like she didn't like them - it was weird since how the regular customers would always be old or either tourists. the diner was slightly enclosed.
as soon as she woke up from her thoughts, the bell rang meaning that something needed serving. the drinks were easy so she thought those were the ones ready. and her guess was right.
