The next morning Little Crow and his friends and some of their classmates joined them at the youth center and met with the tribal elders.

"Now I know some of you might say, what do the kids know about the community? well were kids and we want to help our community," said Little Crow.

"Children is what holds a place together when the parents don't, they look after one another, I tell you what since the board helped a woman build a coffee shop on the rez, we she gave a few peoples job, I can contact a person that can help rebuild new homes for the people," said a board member.

"That sounds wonderful and I'll let the coffee shop owner know when we plan on doing this, so her employees can start making coffee and breakfast," said Ivy.

"You know that sounds like a good idea," said White Eagle.

"Yeah maybe it will bring us all closer to each other and our families, maybe even build another business to offer somebody a job as well," said a kid from Little Crow's class.

"Hey, what about a library?" asked a little girl.

"That is not a bad idea," said the board member.

"Yeah all the books I have I can donate to the new library until we can get some more books," said Ivy.

"This is going great I'll let all of you know," said the board member.

"Great let's go," said Little Crow leaving and walking around the rez.

They came to the coffee shop and sat down outside and started talking. A young Native kid could not help but hear their conversation, so he walked over and took their order. They all ordered tea.

So he grabbed a few cups and poured them some tea and sat them down on the table.

"Hi, I could not help overhear your conversation about building and donating."

"Oh yes, we went to the board member and they like the idea we threw out there, I'm going to start making a list," said Ivy.

"I'll go get you some paper," said the young Native boy.

"Thank you," said Ivy.

"Here you go," said the young Native boy.

"Thank you," said Ivy.

"So what is your name?" asked White Eagle.

"My name is Red Wolf, I live around here," said Red Wolf.

"I never see you at school?" asked Little Crow.

"Oh, I don't go to school, I'm a sibling of three little brothers, when this place was being built, I asked the owner if she needed any help, and she gave me a job and it pays for my little brothers to get an education," said Red Wolf.

"Where are your parents if you don't mind me asking?" asked Ivy.

"They mainly stay around white clay, they are homeless, so I stepped in, so I'm my little brother's parent and brother, it also pays for us to travel to dance in the pow wow, she is a good boss, she helps me out, and it keeps my mind on positive things and it helps my grandmother she is the one taking care of us," said Red Wolf.

"That's good," said Little Crow.

"She also keeps me straight and away from the gang's, the drugs and alcohol," said Red Wolf.

"We're going to change all that," said White Eagle.

"Yes change is coming whether they like it or not, they don't have to stay here," said Ivy.

The young man went back inside.

"Okay so on my list I'm going to put the coffee shop is number one first.

Coffee shop, Library, New housing,

What else?" asked Ivy.

"What about a restaurant," said Little Crow.

"Ooh yeah a restaurant, clothing boutique, museum, that's all I came up with," said Ivy.

"That should be good, we already have a grocery store, so we don't need another one, we already have a gas station with food and other stuff as well, once we get that business up and running a lot more people will have a job," said White Eagle.

"True, once they have jobs maybe the alcohol will be behind them," said Little Crow.

"I hope so and if not I know there is plenty of young teens like Red Wolf that would love to have a job," said Ivy.

"True," said White Eagle.

"It's getting late, we better be getting home," said Little Crow.

"Yeah, well I'll see you all tomorrow," said Ivy.

"See you guys," said Little Crow.

So they got up from the table and went home and went to sleep.
