The Change

Chapter 11

It was Sunday morning, they got up extra early to get ready for church. Mary made a quick breakfast for them before they had to leave.

So they ate and cleaned the kitchen up and Little Crow went out to start the car as Mary was grabbing her purse and bible, Little Crow came back inside and grabbed his bible and made sure he had his wallet with him as well. So they both left the house and drove to church.

"I hope Ivy and White Eagle come this morning and the sweet couple we met yesterday," said Mary.

"I know me too, God is going to do great things for White Eagle, and Ivy I can feel it," said Little Crow.

"I know me too, God is going to do great things for them," said Little Crow.

They arrived at church and walked inside. They sat down and started to pray before the adult Sunday school class started. As they were finished, they saw Big Man and Sherrie walk in. Big Man and Sherrie walked towards Little Crow and Mary sat down next to them. The pastor came down to greet them.

"Hi, welcome I'm Rudy."

"Morning, I'm Big Man and this is my wife Sherrie," said Big Man.

"Well I'm glad you came this morning, looking forward to seeing you again on Wednesday," said Pastor Rudy.

"Oh yes, most definitely you will be seeing us again," said Sherrie.

"Well good I'm glad,' said Pastor Rudy.

Pastor Rudy's wife comes walking up as well.

"Hi, I'm the pastor's wife, my name is Margaret, I'm so glad you came today, I hope we get to see you again soon?" asked Margaret.

"Oh yes, you will,' said Big Man.

"Great I'm glad to hear that," said Margaret walking back to her seat.

Then around 9:30 am here comes White Eagle and Ivy.

"Morning," said White Eagle.

Little Crow got up and introduced them.

"Morning White Eagle," said Big Man.

"Morning, it's good to see you again," said White Eagle.

"Sherrie you remember White Eagle and Ivy," said Big Man.

"Yes I do, its good to see you both, I'm glad you came," said Sherrie.

"Were glad to be here today as well," said Ivy.

So they sat down next to Big Man and Sherrie. The adult class started. Around 10:50 am everybody started to greet one another and welcoming them. Around 11:00 am worship started. Once worshiped was finished then the preaching started. Once all that was finished, they did an altar call, White Eagle and Ivy both went upfront. Then Little Crow and Mary went up from behind them, Big Man and Sherrie went up there as well, the women laid hands on Ivy and the men laid hands on White Eagle. Then once they started praying and weeping, the pastor started talking to them both about receiving, so they all prayed again and both White Eagle and Ivy wept and repented of their sins and spoke in tongues. Then they all shouted with joy, then the pastor pulled them away to talk to them in private.

"Now that you have both repented and have given your hearts to the Lord, now is the time to be baptized," said Pastor Rudy. Rudy started to explain to them about baptism and they both agreed together. So, Little Crow, Big Man took White Eagle to the back and both prayed over him, and they walked out so he can change into the gown. Sherrie and Margaret took Ivy to the other side and prayed with her and then left her to change into the gown as well.

"This is a great day today, White Eagle and Ivy both have opened up their hearts and excepted Jesus Christ into their lives. We are going to do Ivy first," said Pastor Rudy.

So Ivy slowly came down the steps into the water baptism and sat down in the water.

"So you are going to put your hands up to your nose and squeeze and I'll submerge you under but first we are going to pray over you as a congregation," said Rudy.

So they prayed for her.

"Now that you have repented, I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins."

When she came up out of the water her hands went up and she started to weep and speak in tongues, the congregation shouted and praised the Lord. When Ivy finally felt a peace she safely stepped out and went back to change into her clothes. It was White Eagle's turn, so he too goes into the water and they prayed for him as well.

"Now that you have repented of your sins I now baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins."

He to came up out of the water hands raised and started to shout and spoke in tongues when he was calm, he too came out to change into his clothes. Everybody was shouting and dancing, praising the Lord for his wonderful works that took place in His house. White Eagle and Ivy came out and started worshiping and praising with the congregation. Now the church had 10 people. It was a good day.
