They drove up to the police station and pulled Matthew out of the car and booked him and put him behind bars until sobber.
"Good job guys," said the chief.
"Thank you, it was another domestic violence case," said Little Crow's partner.
"More paperwork," smiled Little Crow walking towards his desk. He sat down and started doing paperwork. When he finally finished, he got up and went towards the back.
He walked up to unit #26 and saw Matthew in the fetal position drunk, he closed his eyes and shook his head and walked back to his desk and started working on the computer. So all through the night, they were called out. It was midnight, Little Crow's shift ended at midnight. So he told everybody goodnight and walked to his car. Before he left the driveway, he prayed a short prayer then he left the parking lot and drove home. When he arrived home, it was 12:30 am. He came inside quietly, changed in the spare room and hung his uniform up, went in the kitchen grabbed a cup of water, and went back to the spare room, he read his bible till about 12:40 am, prayed and went to sleep.
It was 8:00 am Indian time on a beautiful Saturday morning. Mary prayed as she was getting dressed, she threw her robe on and walked out of the bedroom. She looked in the spare room and heard the shower running, she smiled and walked in the kitchen and started making coffee and she put biscuits in the oven and was making the gravy. Little Crow was getting dressed and he also threw his robe on and walked out of the spare room.
"Sure does smell good," smiled Little Crow.
"Thank you," smiled Mary.
"Good morning," Little Crow kissing her on the cheek.
"Morning," she smiled as she continued to stir the gravy.
Little Crow started opening the blinds to let natural light shine in, he opened the door and walked out to get the newspaper, came back in, and left the screen door closed. He sat down at the table with the newspaper and started to read. Mary poured a cup of coffee and set it down next to him on the table.
"Thank you, darling," said Little Crow.
"You are welcome," said Mary.
She pulled the biscuits out of the oven and turned the oven off and stove off as well, she put the biscuits in a bowl and she poured the gravy in a gravy bowl, she put the bowl of biscuits on the table along with the gravy bowl. She went back and grabbed two plates and silverware and set the table.
Little Crow folded the newspaper back up and laid it in the empty chair, she went back and poured him a cup of coffee and she poured herself a cup and put the cups on the table, she put the coffee pot on a coaster on the table.
They grabbed hands and began to pray for their breakfast. They started eating and he went back to reading the newspaper while eating. Around 9:30 am they started to clean up the kitchen, he did the dishes while she wiped the table down, once finished they both started to dry the dishes and put them away. They both took their robes off, Mary hung hers in the bedroom and she put Little Crow's robe in the spare room bathroom.
He sat down on the couch and started reading a book, she walked over to the piano and started to play and sing, then soon he got up and fellowshipped with her. Then walks in Ivy and White Eagle, they came in for another bible study. Little Crow looked over and walked towards them as Mary kept playing.
"Hey guys back for more," smiled Little Crow.
"Yeah it's getting good, we didn't know about all that stuff," said White Eagle.
"Yeah it is amazing, God is good, here is a church card, we would love it if you both would join us Sunday morning for church," said Little Crow.
"We would love to," said Ivy.
"Great, well let's get going," said Little Crow leading them to the kitchen and setting them down at the table, he had extra bibles there as well. Mary stopped playing the piano and started preparing snacks as Little Crow was teaching bible study.
"First we'll pray for the bible study and the snacks," said Little Crow.
So they all held hands and Little Crow began to pray. Once they finished praying, they got started on the bible study. Mary Green put some finger food trays in the middle of the table and then she sat down at the table as well, they started eating and giving a bible study lesson. It was around noon; they stopped and were going to pick up next week.
"Well I hear they are gathering at the youth center today, to celebrate the future of the reservation," said White Eagle.
"Oh we should go, we haven't been there in a while," said Mary.
"Sounds fun, let's go," said Little Crow.
So they left the house in their vehicles and drove to the center. When they arrived there, they walked inside.
"Hey Little Crow," said Big Man.
"Big Man is that you?" asked Little Crow.
"Yeah how's it going?" asked Big Man.
"Oh my gosh, it's going good, it is good to see you, my friend," said Little Crow.
"Good to see you again too," said Big Man.
"Big Man this is my wife Mary Green, Mary this is Big Man," said Little Crow.
"Very nice to meet you," said Big Man.
"Thank you it's very nice to meet you," said Mary Green.
"Excuse me, honey come over here," said Big Man.
"Little Crow this is my wife Sherrie, Sherrie this Little Crow and his wife Mary Green," said Big Man.
"Nice to meet you both," said Sherrie.
"It's nice to meet you as well, do you go to church, you look Pentecostal?" asked Mary.
"Yes we are Pentecostal, we have not found a church at the moment we're still looking," said Sherrie.
"Yes we are still looking, haven't found one since we moved back here," said Big Man.
"Well here is the church card, this is where we attend church. The pastor is from the Navajo Indian Reservation, he built a church here on the reservation, so the congregation is small now. It is him, his wife, and two kids, myself and my wife Mary attend, now we're trying to get a couple to attend our church as well," said Little Crow.
"That is great, thank you for telling us about it, we look forward to coming Sunday morning," said Big Man.
"Cool we will see you Sunday at church," said Little Crow.
"Hey White Eagle, come over here, do you remember Big Man," said Little Crow.
"Oh yea, hey guys," said Big Man.
"Well my goodness, hey Big Man, how are you?" asked White Eagle.
"Good, good, this is my wife Sherrie, Sherrie this is White Eagle and I'm assuming your wife now, Ivy," said Big Man.
"Yes, we're married now, how are you?" asked Ivy.
"Good, it is good to see you again and it is nice to meet you, Sherrie," said Ivy.
"Nice to meet you as well," said Sherrie.
"Well we better get going, we will see you at church, I hope we'll see you two there as well?" asked Big Man.
"Yes you will," said White Eagle.
"Good," said Big Man.
Then they all left to go home.
