-"-and then it bit me." Drew glared at pinky.
"I hate cat people." I mumbled while I cuddled with Maya's puppy.
"Cats are better!" He frowned.
"I prefer doggies ." I smiled down at pinky before looking up again. "You're gonna be a old lonely person with 100 cats."
"True." He nodded.
"So what are you doing tomorrow?" Maya asked. "Wanna hang out?"
"One, we're hanging out right now. Two," I mumbled the last part. "I may or may not have plans with Issac. "
"Omg do you have a date?"
"No, we're just hanging out."
"Mhmm."
"Dude, I've known him for like six days, just friends." I pointed out.
"That is true." She hummed.
"Anyways, love to stay and chat but I have to swing by the store before heading home."
"Alrighty."
"Bye."
I waved goodbye before walking out.
After getting kicked out of the ice cream parlor we all headed home, in this case Drew and I went home with Maya.
I hopped into my car and drove home. On my way I saw a familiar face walking into a park.
I drove by and parked the car to follow him.
Once I saw him stop walking I snuck up behind him and yelled in his ear.
In two confusing seconds he had me in headlock.
"Dude!" I struggled.
"Cupcake?! What the hell!" He let go. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah sure, who needs air anyways?" I sarcastically replied.
"Sorry, you shouldn't sneak up on me."
"Yeah no shit Sherlock, I think I learned my lesson." I rolled my eyes walking away.
"Hey, I'm sorry." He replied catching my hand before I left.
"It's whatever." I shrugged. "Why are you here anyways?" I asked as I sat on a swing.
"I like to come here sometimes." He shrugged going behind me to push the swing.
"Yeah, seems peaceful."
"Yup, So I hear you have a date tomorrow." He changed the subject.
"Um, I wouldn't call it a date." I shrugged.
"Issac sure thinks it's a date." He replied.
"Really?"
"Yup."
"Oh, I guess." I shrugged.
"We'll have fun."
"Thanks..." Awkward.
"So, any new vinyls?" He asked.
"Ooh, a few! Got some Black Keys, and ACDC."
"Sounds heavenly!" He laughed.
"Wanna come over and listen?" I asked.
"You sure mama bear won't mind?" He asked.
"Eh she's out with her friends, it's Happy hour." I chuckled.
He stopped the swing. "Alright sure."
I hopped off. "Let's go, but first to the grocery store." I smiled.
-
-"Okay that was just an amazing track." He commented.
"Ugh I know!"
"The only part that wasn't good was when...you sang along." He teased.
"Hey!" I whacked his arm.
"I'm kidding! It was my favorite part." He laughed.
I stared at his complexion. God he is literally perfect.
"What?" He smiled after noticing I was staring.
"You're perfect." I mumbled.
He grinned.
"Dammit! I should really talk to a doctor about my blurting out things."
"No, I like it." He smiled.
"It's embarrassing." I laughed.
"It's cute." He laughed along.
"Whatever, I'm keeping your beanie." I snatched it from him putting it on.
"Keep it, it looks better on you."
I started blushing. "Whatever."
He chuckled checking the time. "Well it's getting late, I should head home."
"Oh, okay."
"I'll see you tomorrow at school, cupcake ." He winked
"Bye." I waved chuckling at the silly nickname.
Before he walked out he stopped.
"Um, I want to apologize for Friday night. I shouldn't have shown up drunk, and I apologize for that. "
"It's alright." I shrugged. "Thank you."
He nodded before walking out.
I sighed collapsing onto my bed.
