Sunday

Cheryls pov

Today is Maya's funeral, me Tre and Layla were in the car.

We walked into the church, the first thing I saw was Maya's mam crying her eyes out. I placed Laylas wheelchair next to where I sat. She was in tears. A few friends of Mayas got up and said a speech and it was hard not to cry.

Finally it was over and we were in the car to go home. Layla seemed fine and not upset, which took me by suprise as I thought she'd be crying.

"Can we get some ice cream?" She spoke breaking the silence.

"Of course we can princess" Tre said.

We pulled up at McDonalds and ordered some ice cream.

"At 4 were going for a scan, so Kimberley's coming over to look after you" I told Layla.

"Ooh are you gonna find out whether its a girl or a boy?" She asked.

"Yep we are, im so excited" I cant wait to find out.

We pulled up outside the house and Tre helped Layla. I walked in and remembered that Layla had a lot of homework that Mrs Jackson gave Jacob to give to Layla.

"Oh Layla you need to get started on your homework" I hear her sigh.

"Ohhh but I want to watch TV"
"First homework, then you can watch TV"

"I'll do it later" she said turning her attention to the TV

"No you wont you'll forget and then you'll leave it till last minute, I know what your like" I said and I dont think she was listening because she didnt reply and kept watching the TV.

I get the pile of homework, and give her, her laptop as she cant write due to her broken wrist.

"Come on, you only have to research this and answer the questions" I hand her two papers with information on, and put the rest back.

She sighs and starts the laptop.

"Do you want some water?" I ask and she nods. I go to the kitchen where Tre was on the phone.

"... okay.. thank you.. bye" he hangs up and turns to me.
"Who was that?"

"The doctor, he just wanted to remind us that we had a scan" I nodded and filled up a glass with water, and headed back to Layla. I walked in to see her on her phone.

"Hunny do your homework first" I say as I hand her the glass if water.

"Give her a rest Chez she'll do it" Tre winked at Layla who smirked.

"Well someones got to be the responsible parent" I poke my tongue at him.

"Im responsible, I can make her do homework and all" he defended himself.

"Please, she only has to frown at you and you give in to her" I say.

"Oh like you don't" he smirks and I just roll my eyes at him while Layla laughs.

After she finished her homework we all sat together and watched a movie. It was half past three so I started getting ready to go. The doorbell rang.

"Hiya!" I fave Kim a hug and she came and sat by Layla.

"How's my little niece doing?" Kim asked while giving her a hug

"Little? Im okay " Layla chuckled.

"Tre come on!" I shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

"Coming" he shouted back before coming down the stairs.

"Okay we'll be back in an hour or so, Layla be good okay and there's some food in the kitchen if yous get hungry" I say as I kiss Layla goodbye.

"I will mam" Layla saluted me and I roll my eyes at her cheeky behaviour that she probably got off me.

"Okay bye" I close the door and get in the car. We pull up at the hospital.

"You ready?" Tre asks

"Yep" I smile and we make our way into the hospital.

I lay on the bed and the doctor puts the cream on my stomach. It was freezing.

"Okay, here we go.. wait.." the doctor says and I instantly get worried and squeeze Tre's hand.

"What is it?" Tre asks lookinv worried. The doctor then smiles putting me at ease.

"Theres two, your having twins congratulations, ones a boy and ones a girl" oh my God im so happy.

"Baby, were having twins" Tre says and I laugh at his excitement.

"Im so happy Tre aww " I say as I wipe the cream of my stomach and sit up. Tre hugs me and I know how excited he was.

"I cant wait to tell Layla" he said.

"Come, lets go" he says and shakes the doctors hands. We get in the car, both with smiles on our faces. We arrive home and i open the door.

"Hi mam hi dad, so what was it?!" Layla asks turning to us.

"Were having..." I say and I see Kim and Layla waiting for the answer.

"Twins, a boy and girl" Tre says.

"Really?!" Layla asks with excitement, I nod and Kim pulls me into a hug.

"Aww thats amazing, congratulations Tre and Chez aww can't wait till they're here" she says.

"Me too" Layla chips in and Tre hugs her.

We have a nice chat, then Kim had to leave and we make dinner. I gave Layla her medicine and then we sat down to watch a movie. It was getting late and we'd watched 2 movies already and just when I was about to ask Layla if she'd wanna go to sleep upstairs I see her already fast asleep.

"Aww she fell asleep" I say.

"Yeah, I'll take her upstairs, you relax and watch TV" he kisses my forhead and carries Layla upstairs. I love how protective his being. Im so happy about the news we got today, twins, were actually having twins.
