chapter 18

Laylas pov

I can feel someone touching my hand. I slowly open my eyes and mam squeezed my hand and gave me a hug, and so did dad. I realise im in hospital which makes me sick.

"What happened?" I look at mam and it looks like shes been crying.

"You fainted, you have to concentrate on getting better now okay" mam said I just gave her a small smile.

Then the doctor came in.
"Miss Tweedy, how are you feeling" he asked I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Okay, so i'm afraid you will be staying over the night, mainly because your head is very sore and you could have slipped into a coma. You need to stay very hydrated. If your feeling dizzy or your eyes go blurry please call for a doctor. Thank you" and with that he walked out. What?! I have to stay over the night.

I wish everything would go back to normal. I saw mam wipe her eyes.

"Have some water" mam said and handed me some water. I drank it to make mam feel better.

"Mam i'll be okay" I said. She squeezed my hand and gave me a kiss.

"I know you will, just concentrate on getting better" I nodded and smiled.

My phone and someone else's beeped. I looked to see whose it was and it was Jacobs. I didn't even notice him there. I smiled at him and mam handed me my phone. He checked his phone and suddenly his face looked shocked. I then checked my phone and realised why

I cant believe it.

"What is it?" Mam asked. I didnt reply and looked at Jacob with tears already in my eyes. Mam then took my phone and read the message that said

Sonia- Katy had a fight with Maya and stabbed her in the chest shes in hospital.

Mam gasped as she read it. Maya was one of my bestfriends. I cant believe Katy would do that. Jacobs phone started ringing

"I'll go take this" he walked out the room. I burst out crying. Dad took my phone and read the message and gave me a hug.

"Princess dont cry please, Maya will be okay" he said. Mam joined in with the hug and I heard footsteps come in the room. It was the doctor.

"Okay, visiting hours are up, like last time one of you may stay here with Layla" he said.

Mam stayed and dad went back home. Jacob came back in to quickly say goodbye.

I tried to forget about what was going on and tried to get some sleep. Mam came on my bed and started humming. It was working, it always makes me sleepy and fall asleep.
