Chapter 14

Cheryl woke up at six o'clock. She saw Layla fast asleep. Her phone beeped and she got it out from her bag. Tre sent her a text to say he was coming.

A while later Tre walked in to see Cheryl watching TV and Layla still asleep.

He kissed Laylas cheek and sat by Cheryl.

"Hows she been?" He asked.

"She didnt eat anything yesterday and the doctor said she needs to in order to get her energy back and in the night she woke up crying in pain and said her leg and stomach were in pain so the nurse just about gave her some medicine, she kept spitting it back out" Cheryl said looking at her daughter.

"How many times does she have to have her medicine" Tre asked.

"4 times in the day and if she feels pain she has to have it at night aswell, and she has a cream for her cuts and bruises" Cheryl replied.

"how bad are the bruises on her stomach" Tre asked and Cheryl got up and walked to Laylas bed. Cheryl pulled Laylas top up and Tre saw the bruises, he couldnt believe Kyle had done that to his daughter.

He touched her stomach and she flinched so he pulled her top back down.

"I cant believe he did that" Tre said

Cheryl let her tears roll down she was still upset about the whole situation and wanted Kyle to go to prison.

"Have the police found Kyle" Cheryl asked taking a seat next to Laylas bed.

"Yes and they took a statement from Jacob and me and also Kyle had been texting his sister after what he did and the police read the messages and he has 5 years." Tre said. He was glad Kyle was in prison because if he wasnt Tre would've beaten him up himself. He still wanted to but there was no point he was going to prison.

"He deserves it, I just want to give him a right punch in the face" Cheryl said.

"I know how you feel, but relax Laylas gonna be okay and I wont let anybody touch her and of they do they'll pay for it" Tre said

"I love you" Cheryl leaned in and kissed him.

"I love you too babe" he said.

Two hours had past and Layla was still asleep.

"Chez should we go call the doctor, she's been asleep for quite long" Tre said he was worried that Layla was still asleep.

"Yeah " she replied and he got up and walked out the room.

Less than a minute later he came back with the nurse. She checked Laylas heart rate.

"Its okay the medicine she had just probably nade her sleepy, nothing to worry about. But of you can wake her up she needs to eat so she can have her medicine" the nurse said and the couple nodded and she left the room.

"Layla baby wake up" Tre said touching her cheek.

Layla stirred and opened her eyes.

"Hi daddy" Layla smiled and Tre gave her a hug and kiss.

Cheryl also gave her a kiss and hug before helping Layla to sit up abit and rest her back on the pillow.

"Im gonna go and get some food for you okay" Tre smiled and Layla slowly nodded.

"You are gonna eat it yeah?" Cheryl asked.

"Ermm yeah" Layla said.

"Mam wheres my phone?" Layla asked.

Cheryl handed Layla her phone and Tre was back with a tray of toast, porridge and juice

"Eat up hunny" Cheryl said. Layla picked up the toast and took a bite.
