chapter 12

It was two weeks later and the family and Jacob had a week left till Cheryls tour. Jacob and Tre went rehearsals together and Cheryl would take Layla with her to wherever she went.

Today Cheryl was getting ready to go to a meeting and Layla had to come along with her while Tre and Jacob went to rehearsals.

Layla and Cheryl finally got in the car to drive to Cheryls meeting

"Mam do I have to go?" Layla moaned as she got in the passenger seat.

"Yes hunny, theres no one available to look after you" Cheryl replied starting the car.

Layla sighed.

They soon pulled up outside the building.

"Mam can I go and get some chocolate from the shop" Layla asked.

"Okay babes be careful yeah" Cheryl said getting out the car.

"I will" Layla said as she also got out. Cheryl entered the building and Layla crossed the road to go to the shop that was a street away.

She went through the ally and their she got the shock of her life.

It was Kyle.

Kyle was Katys oldrr brother. The one Katy said would beat her up. He was 20 years old.

Kyle saw Layla and walked ovee to her clenching his fist.

Layla walked back trying to get out the ally as fast as she could but Kyle grabbed her arm.

"I heard you've been messing with my sister?" Kyle said gripping Laylas neck.

"Leave me alone" Layla tried to get Kyles hand off her neck.

He punched her and she fell to the floor. He then pulled her back up.

"Let me go you prick!" Layla yelled and puched his face.

Kyle pushed her down the concrete stairs she landed on her leg and arm and couldnt get up. She screamed in pain and Kyle kicked her in her stomach.

Meanwhile

Tre and Jacob pulled up at where Cheryl was.

"Im going to the shop, gonna buy Layla a present, she dont like when shes waiting for a meeting it'll cheer her up" Jacob said getting out of the car.

"Alrighy mate see ya in a bit" Tre said walking in the building. Jacob crossed the road and headed for the ally.

He heard a scream and ran towards it

He then saw Kyle kicking Layla who was on the floor with blood on her face and clothes.

"Oi!" Jacob shouted and ran to Kyle and puched him a few times and threw him to the floor before going to Layla and quickly phoning the ambulance.

"No! Layla stay with me" Jacob rested Laylas head on his lap as she started to close her eyes. She was unconscious

Kyle got up and ran. He was scared of Jacob.

Jacob got his phone out and rang Tre and told him.

A minute later Cheryl and Tre ran into the ally. Cheryl already on tears and Tre looked shocked as ever.

The ambulance arrived and put her on the stretcher.

"Aww my baby" Cheryl whispered and cried.

"Who the fuck did this" Tre asked fuming.

"I'll tell you later, you lot get in the ambulance, I'll follow in my car" Jacob said, he too was in tears. Tre nodded and he and Cheryl got on the ambulance. Cheryl was in a flood of tears and Tre wanted to know who did it so he could beat them up. He couldn't bear seeing his little princess with all blood on her face and on so much pain.

Jacob went to his car and followed the ambulance when he say Kyle walk into another ally he pulled up and got out the car.

He walked to the ally. He was so angry he just wanted to beat him up.

"Kyle!" Jacob shouted.

Kyle turned around and saw Jacob behind him.

Jacob gave him one hard punch and he was on the floor.

"How dare you hurt Layla like that, shes a girl you coward. Shes 5 years younger than you, how can you hurt an innocent girl" he got Kyle back up. The anger built up inside him and punched him again.

Kyle quickly ran off and Jacob just wanted to go see how Layla was rather than going after Kyle.

He got back to his car and reached the hospital.
