We all decided to play a game. The first one that came to mind was hide'n'seek. We all agreed and played rock, paper, scissors to see who was it. Ben ended up being it, and he started to count. I had until 100...but I wasn't sure where to hide, then I had a great idea. I ran to the guest room, which had become my room until they had finished building a new room for me, and I hid in the closet. Luckily I was wearing black clothes, so I blended into the shadows. I heard the door creak open and footsteps around the room. I heard the door creak closed, but then heard a rustling sound. I knew not to get out just yet, but then the closet doors flung open, and Ben popped his head into the closet. I held my breath as I saw him look in the shadows. He stepped into the closet and moved around some coats and shirts. He was starting to get closer to me, and I tried to back away. My back made a small thud as I hit the wall. Ben looked in my direction, then walked over. He suddenly tripped over something and fell right on top of me.
"Ouch!" I yelled as Ben's head hit mine.
"Sorry," Ben blushed as he got off of me.
"It's fine," I told him, rubbing my head.
"Well, found you!" Ben laughed and I giggled, still rubbing my head.
"We should probably go find the others," I told Ben and he got up. He held out his hand for me to get, up and I gladly took it. After looking for a few minutes, we had found Jeff and Masky, but there was no sign of Hoodie.
"I have an idea," I told everyone and we all huddled together.
"Okay, so, we take a piece of cheesecake and leave it on the counter. He's bound to come out at some point, because we all know that he loves cheesecake. After he comes out of hiding, Ben you walk in and you'll see him eating the cheesecake. You call out that you found him and we'll all come out acting all surprised that you managed to find him," I whispered and everyone agreed.
I went into the kitchen and silently got a piece of cheesecake out. I set the plate down as quietly as I could, and left the cheesecake unattended. We all got into position, me upstairs, Jeff in the living room, Ben right around the corner, and Masky in the front room. Ben heard movement in the dining room and peeked around the corner. Sure enough, Hoodie was sitting down and enjoying the slice of cheesecake.
Ben casually walked in and called out to everyone else, "I found you! Guys! I found him!"
Hoodie sighed, "Dang it! I knew that this cheesecake was out for a reason. Oh well!"
We all walked into the room and Hoodie was just finishing up the cheesecake. Suddenly, we heard a large crack of lightning and thunder following after.
"Well, guess it's starting to storm," I told everyone and everyone looked really worried. "What? Why are you all so worried? It's probably just a small storm. We'll be fine...right?"
"Well, you see it usually doesn't storm around here, so whenever it does it's usually really bad," Ben explained and everyone nodded.
"So, what? It's gonna be a really bad storm? Like, how bad though?" I asked, now starting to get worried.
"Yeah. Like, on a scale of one to ten, it's usually around a seven maybe but this one sounds like it's gonna be an eight or nine," Jeff said and I started to get scared. I remember always being afraid of thunderstorms when I was a little kid.
"Well, we'll be fine right? Like, we won't get hurt if we stay inside?" I asked worriedly.
"More than likely. Slenderman did build this house to be strong enough to withstand most storms. So, we should be fine. Don't worry," Jeff answered.
"Yeah, we'll be fine. Just don't think about it and it'll be over before you know it!" Ben told me, trying to cheer me up but, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I was starting to breath heavily, so I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself.
"Why don't we do something to get our minds off the storm," Masky suggested.
"Why don't we continue hide'n'seek?" Hoodie said and we all agreed.
"Ben, who did you find first?" Jeff asked and Ben pointed at me.
"Okay, I'll count to 100," I said and sighed after everyone left. I sat in a chair at the table and started counting. After I finished counting I started checking all around the first floor. I couldn't find anyone so I quietly snuck upstairs. I checked each room, each closet, everywhere, but no one was there. I started getting scared again, so I checked the last floor. I opened up a door, and it was a black room, a bed with black bedding, a black desk and chair, a TV on a black stand, and a black bean bag sitting in front of the TV. I was curious on who's room it was, when I heard a voice behind me.
"Excuse me. Can I help you?" The person asked and I spun around. It was Jane.
"Oh, um, sorry," I apologized.
"What are you doing in my room?" She asked.
"Jeff, Ben, Hoodie, Masky and I are playing hide'n'seek. I didn't know this was you're room," I explained and moved out of the doorway. She walked into her room, glared at me, gave me a small smile, and quietly closed the door. I shrugged it off and walked down the hall, opening all the doors. I still couldn't find them.
I walked all the way back down to the first floor and I looked around again. I always sucked at finding people in hide'n'seek. I walked around the house some more, but then heard a creak in the floor behind me. I quickly spun around and saw Masky and Hoodie.
"Were you guys behind me the whole time?" I asked them and they nodded. "And to think that I was going to give up."
"You were?" Hoodie asked.
"Yes! I suck at finding people in hide'n'seek!" I told them.
"You just need to know where to look and you need to look hard. Check the shadows, look everywhere, and just don't give up because you can't find someone. Keep trying," Masky told me and I smiled.
"I think I know where to look," I told them and they looked confused.
We walked up to Ben's room and I checked everywhere. Under the couch cushions, under his bed, behind his TV, and finally under his desk. I knew he was under his desk, but he blended in pretty well.
"Well, I don't see him. Let's go," I winked at Masky and Hoodie and we walked out of the room. We waited outside for a few minutes, and then we heard the TV turn on. I ran into the room.
"FOUND YOU!" I yelled and he fell off of the arm of his couch.
"Ouch!" Ben called out, landing on his head. "How'd you find me?"
"I knew you were under your desk, so I decided to play a little joke on you. You okay though?" I told him.
"Yeah," he said, getting up and rubbing his head. Suddenly, there was a loud crack of lightning and a loud rumble of thunder. The house started shaking from the thunder. I went under Ben's desk as the house started shaking and I got more scared of the storm.
"Hey, it's okay Onyx," Hoodie told me, trying to get me out from under the desk.
"No. I don't wanna come out. I don't like storms," I told them and they all started laughing. "What? What's so funny?" Now I was getting mad.
"Oh, nothing," Ben said, trying t stifle his laugh.
"Why are you guys laughing at me?" I asked them, getting a bit sad.
"You're scared of a silly storm?" Ben asked and I nodded.
"I've been scared of storms practically all my life," I told them and looked at the ground.
"It's okay. Everyone is scared of something," Ben told me and I looked up at him. "Now, let's go find Jeff."
"Okay," I sighed and tried to calm myself. Suddenly, there was more thunder and it shook the house again. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and then felt a hand on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw Ben making sure I was okay. I gave him a slight nod and we walked throughout the house together, trying to find Jeff. After we found him, we all thought that it was getting a bit boring, so we all decided to watch a movie.
