**Onyx's POV**
"So, Onyx. This is Unicorn, Raccoon, Bunny, Hummingbird, and I think you get it now," Squirrel informed me.
"So, I'm just gonna assume that every animal of the forest's name is just the animal that they are?" I asked and Squirrel nodded. "Okay..."
"Anyways, we need to run some tests, but first of all, let's get to know you," Bunny spoke with a tiny, twinkly voice.
"Well, I ran away from home. I'm currently traveling with a Creepypasta, Ben Drowned to be exact. I'm not exactly sure what you could call mine and Ben's relationship," I told the animals.
"Do you have any siblings?" Unicorn asked, and I instantly felt tears spring to my eyes. I started fiddling with my hands and looked at the ground.
"Well, um, I had a sibling, a twin brother. He, um, committed suicide a long time ago. I've been trying to forget about, but it's hard to forget," I answered.
"I'm sorry I asked," Unicorn apologized and I shook my head.
"No, it's fine," I tell Unicorn and look at all the animals.
"How about we just move on to the tests," Raccoon suggested and everyone agreed.
"So, to start off, you need to take an actual test. It should only take you a minute or two," Unicorn told me and Squirrel walked into the room holding a piece of paper and a pencil. I took them from Squirrel and looked at each question:
1.) How did you find this area?
2.) Did it take a few minutes to figure out what we were saying?
"Now, think really hard on these questions," Raccoon informed and gave them all a look.
"You're kidding right?" I asked them and they shook their heads.
"This is serious stuff," Unicorn told me and I rolled my eyes. I quickly jotted down my answers:
1.) How did you find this area?
Squirrel found me
2.) Did it take a few minutes to figure out what we were saying?
I understood Squirrel right when he tried talking to me
I handed Squirrel my paper and pencil and he took it to another room. I went under many tests, testing my mental skills, my physical skills, and my spiritual skills. All I had to do was run around a track 3 times, do as many pull-ups as I could, answer a few math problems, tell them some random fact, meditate, and try and summon a spirit. I succeeded in all but the spirit one. They said that I would manage to summon my spirit some time.
"One last thing," Unicorn said and everyone looked at her strangely. Everyone started whispering. Unicorn walked over to me and placed her horn on my head. I suddenly felt very weird, and I saw something. Instead of my brother killing himself...it was me. I remember now. I had tried, but when I failed I ran away. I gasped, as Unicorn pulled her horn away.
"You're dead," Unicorn whispered in my ear and my legs felt like jelly. I sat down on the ground, and looked at Unicorn.
"No. I-I'm not. Why am I still here then?" I asked her.
"You're a powerful special. You're like no other special," Unicorn told me and I nodded my head.
"So, what do I do now?" I asked them.
"Go back to your friend, or boyfriend, or whatever he is to you. You can tell him what happened, or you can keep it a secret. Meet us here again tonight," Unicorn answered and I nodded my head in agreement.
As I walked outside, I saw that the animals haven't stopped working since I've been in the building. I walked back to where I had left Ben and saw him snoozing on the bench by the lake. I sat down, closer to the lake than the bench was and stared at the fish.
"Can you guys talk too?" I asked them and one fish stopped.
"Yes we can human. Every animal here can," The blue and purple fish told me.
"Why am I not surprised?" I asked the fish, laughing a bit.
"I don't know. Anyways, I need to go get some food. Bye!" The fish swam away.
"Bye!" I called after it, but it was already gone. I stared into the crystal water and though of how well it would feel to bathe in it. I was enjoying my time, but then I started feeling a bit tired. I decided to get some rest, after all that has happened I deserved some rest. So, I laid down in the grass and fell asleep in a matter of minutes.
When I woke up, probably a few hours later, I was sitting at the bottom of the lake. I knew that's where I was because there were fish swimming right in front of my face, sometimes a tail hitting my nose.
"AAAAAH!" I screamed, but it was muffled by the water. I then realized that I wasn't even wet.
"I'm sorry to have thrown you into the water like this, but you are in great danger," A dolphin (A/N yes...I said dolphin) told me.
"Wait, how are you here? Shouldn't you be in the ocean? Why am I in danger? Who are you? Where exactly am I?" I asked the dolphin, words just flying out of my mouth.
"I can't answer all of your questions, some you must find out on your own. But, my name is Dolphin. You're still in the same place that you were before, just in the lake now. I put a spell on you to where you couldn't get wet. This lake is magical, and it makes it possible so that any animal can live here. That's how I'm here, and I can' tell you why you're in danger. It'll only make it worse. They can sense when their names are said, but just trust me. You are in great danger and you need to find the other specials. They know who is after you and they know how to save you. Now, go. He is waking," Dolphin swam away.
"Wait! Who's waking?!" I called after Dolphin, but she was already to far away.
I appeared right back to where I was before I met the dolphin. And as for who was waking...I was hoping it was just Ben. Ben sat up on the bench.
"Hey," Ben yawned.
"Hi," I answered.
"How long was I asleep?" Ben asked, scratching the back of his head.
"I don't know. Wasn't paying attention," I continued looking at the lake.
