Chapter 17: The Specials (Part 2)

"But what if the specials aren't enough?" Ben asked me.

"Ben, don't worry. I'm gonna go through training to help me become stronger. I promise that I'll be fine. You don't need to worry. Now, I need to start my training. I'll get Brandon and Bianca. They can hang out with you for a while. I'll talk to you later," I answered Ben and walked back to the village with Unicorn.

"Brandon, Bianca. I need you guys to go talk to Ben," I told them.

"Why? Isn't he fine on his own?" Bianca questioned me.

"Just," I paused and took a deep breath. "He's worried about me and I don't think he trusts the specials...or you guys. So, if you guys could talk to him and maybe just try and get him to at least trust you guys, then that would be great. Just, please do this."

"Come on Bianca. Let's go," Brandon said and grabbed Bianca's hand and dragged her away before she could even say anything.

"So, shall we begin training?" I asked Unicorn.

"Not here. To the training grounds. Hop on," Unicorn answered and kneeled down. I climbed onto her back and she used her magic and took me to a magical area. I wasn't even sure where we were.

"Where are we?" I asked Unicorn.

"The training grounds," Unicorn answered. "Now, I can finally take a better form."

"A better form?" I asked Unicorn and suddenly, she turned into a human...or at least, a semi-human. She was half human, half unicorn. She was tall and had light brown skin. Her hair was black, but with streaks of rainbow in it. She wore black shorts and a white spaghetti strap tank top, and yet she still had her unicorn ears and horn.

"This is a much better form to train you in. Now, you may still call me Unicorn in case you were wondering," Unicorn smirked.

"Well, can we finally start training?" I asked and Unicorn nodded her head. She made a hologram of herself, using her magic.

"Now, watch what I do and then try it out," Unicorn instructed me. She started fighting the hologram. Throwing a fist at it, then attempting to sweep the legs. She dodged a kick and punch, and landed a kick on the ribs to the hologram. She was quite lean, which I guess helped with her form. It was as if she had been doing this for years.

"Now, it's your turn," Unicorn said. Her hologram stood up from it's fallen position and was awaiting my first move. I walked up to it and looked into it's holographic, clear eyes. I started the battle by throwing a punch at it, just like Unicorn did. Of course, it dodged it and I attempted to sweep the legs. But instead of it jumping over my legs like what I thought it would have, I actually hit it and it fell down. I glanced at Unicorn and she had an expression, a mix of shock and confusion, plastered on her face. Suddenly, the hologram got up and threw a punch at me. I caught it's punch and twisted it's arm behind it's back. I don't even know how I knew how to do this, or even how I was doing it, but somehow it felt as if I had been doing this for several years too. I landed a kick to the hologram's side and it fell down.

"Well, that was interesting. I think you'll make a great fighter. Now, to practice your gem powers," Unicorn said and took the hologram back.

"So, what exactly can I do with my gem?" I questioned Unicorn.

"Well, for starters, you do have a weapon that comes from it. You can try that. Just concentrate on weapons that you like and try and get it to come from your gem," Unicorn instructed me and I did just that. I focused on my gem, and a weapon submerging from it. I closed my eyes to try and concentrate better. I stood there and thought about it, thought about a weapon that I could use to come from my gem. Finally, a soft gray light started to shine from my gem. I opened my eyes and looked at it, but still concentrated on it. A silver handle protruded from my gem and I grabbed it. I pulled the weapon out and I held a katana with a black, shiny blade and silver handle.

"Well, there's your weapon," Unicorn smirked. "Now, you should probably learn to use it."

"Oh, that can't be too hard. I mean, I did learn somethings from the Creepypastas," I informed Unicorn.

"Well, that is good," Unicorn said. "But you still need to learn other moves, such as defense." Unicorn put another hologram up, but this time it was a blonde girl with a katana.

"Now," Unicorn said and got a katana from her magic. "I'll show you some defense moves. But, there is something I forgot to mention. You are immortal. You are a gem, so if this hologram were to stab you in the chest, you'd retreat to your gem and heal there. So, really there is no need to be worried about dying...because you won't. The only thing is that we're not sure how long you'd be retreated into your gem for."

"Well, let's just hope that I don't need to ever go into my gem. Anything else you need to inform me on about being a gem?" I asked Unicorn.

"If your gem cracks, you can be damaged and if your gem breaks...well, there's no way to heal you then. We could try and get your gem back together, but it would take years and years," Unicorn included.

"Well, I'll just watch my gem. I won't let anyone hit it," I stated firmly.

"Now, let's teach you defense," Unicorn instructed and taught me how to use my katana to defend against enemies.

"Well, that concludes our training for today," Unicorn informed me as I finished my last defense tactic.

"How did I do?" I questioned Unicorn.

"For starters? Amazing, you're the best special I've ever trained," Unicorn stated.

"Thank you. Now, are we gonna go back?" I asked and Unicorn nodded. She transformed back into her horse-y unicorn form and kneeled down. I hopped on her back and she poofed us back to the village. I walked back out to the pond, to see Ben, Brandon, and Bianca laughing and having a great time. I smiled at the sight of them being friends. To be honest, I had started warming up to the thought of Bianca and I becoming friends.

"Hey guys," I smiled as I walked over to them.

"Hey Onyx," Ben smiled and scooted over. I sat down next to him and joined in on the conversation.

"So, how was training?" Bianca questioned.

"It was actually really fun! I think at some point you and Brandon will start training with me," I answered. Maybe Bianca wanted to be my friend too.
