The battle was still ragging on at our boat. As I was cradled in Jea-Ha's arms I looked around at the other ships, surprised to see that we're on the last ship that hadn't been taken over. Man after man Jea-Ha knocked them down. He didn't kill any of the others but with every kick the fear of seeing blood grew. Even so out numbered Jea-Ha refused to set me down. I should insist he put me down. I limit his mobility, I'm also just extra weight.

"Jea-Ha! Put me down! I can handle a few of them on my own! Besides with me in your arms it must be hard to focus and do your best!" I announce looking up at him. He swiftly took out three men with a powerful kick and then looked down at me. "No, these are mercenaries! They are trained to kill! They won't show mercy!" He denied jumping into the air and throwing  a cluster of daggers at the crowd of enemy's beneath us. "Jea-Ha! With me here your making it harder! I can handle this!" I fired back shouting over the rustling wind. Worry clouding my judgement

"No you can't! They'll outnumber you!" He scolded as he gracefully landed to the ships bow only to be surrounded and heavily outnumbered. "Either way! We're out numbered! If I'm limiting your abilities to fight I'm a liability!" I groaned rising a hand to my temple in frustration. Ignoring the random shifts in the air from the powerful movements of people's weapons. "I can't fight nearly as well if you go fighting on your own!" Jea-Ha replies leaning to the side to avoid a sword then kicking the owner of the sword in the face.

"And why is that!" I demanded folding my arms and shooting a glare toward the nearest mercenary like it was his fault we're fighting. In a way it is his fault. If he wasn't stupid enough to be a mercenary then we wouldn't be fighting him and me and Jea-Ha wouldn't have had this disagreement.

"I can't focus on fighting if I don't know your safe!" He explained, clear irritation in his voice as he said this. As his words hit my ears I immediately felt guilty. "I see." Was all I managed to say. Jea-Ha only smirked as he heard this.

Bang! My eyes widen as the sound of a gun. Please, don't tell me. I slowly turned my head to see a mercenary holding a smoking gun at me. I reluctantly looked over to Jea-Ha. The moment I did a scream ripped through my throat. He had been shot in the shoulder. Jea-Ha winced in pain his grip on me tightening. He went down on one knee, one hand cradling me the other clutching his injured shoulder. The dragon leaned forward doing his best to protect me from any oncoming shots.

The sight of his blood flowing through his robe onto his hand, dripping off his palm felt like a slap across the face as I stared at the red liquid in shock.
"Jea-Ha!" I cried flinging my arms around his neck. "No, no, no, no, no!" I whispered trying to clam myself my hands trembling. He's not moving! Is he regaining his strength or dose he not have enough energy to move!? Tears poured down my cheeks as I felt the sensation of his blood dripping onto me.

I slowly allowed my hand to fall from his neck and climbed out of his grasp. "May! Don't....!" Jea-Ha warned looking up at me one eye closed still clutching his shoulder. An other loud bang tore through the air. I watched in horror as a second bullet ripped through Jea-Ha this time it was his arm that took the force of the small ball of steel. My eyes widen. I could feel my blood begin to boil. I was furious I practically saw red.

I unsheathed two daggers and turned toward the mercenary with the gun. He only smirked as he pulled the trigger once again but this time the gun was pointed toward me. The sound of the bullet taking flight rung in my ears. It was as if time slowed down for me. I leaned to the side effortlessly, a chill running down my spin. I felt a breeze brush against my neck as I narrowly escaped the bullet.

Gasps came from the small number of mercenaries left. Jea-Ha took out close to all of them. It's well past my turn to join the fight. "I don't forgive those who hurt my family." I stated titling my head to the side. "How about you stop attacking the people who actually matter to me and come play with me? Or are you to much of a coward?!" I continued. I was dead serious. Never before had I seen Hak, Yona, Yun, Shin-Ha, or Gija be wounded. Or at least not as badly as Jea-Ha.

"Why you little punk!" Shouted an mercenary. I turned to him a smile curling my lips. I feel like I'm losing it... Is this what's it's like to be insane? "What? Did a little girl's words wound her petty pride? Or maybe it was your ridiculous, useless feelings?" I coaxed beginning to twirl my daggers with my fingers. What's going on with me? All sanity had left me at this point. All that was on my mind was protecting Jea-Ha. I had one goal in mind and that was to gets Jea-Ha out of here alive.

"Get her!" Growled the mercenary raising his sword. Immediately five mercenary's lunged at me. I jumped in the air dogging 3 attacks and gracefully landed onto the mercenary's sword. My balance was perfect as I ran up the blade and kicked the man holding the sword in the jaw he flew back dropping his sword. I landed to the floor. "What the hell! What's up with this kid?!" Shouted one of the four left.

This is all that's left? Jea-Ha only had five more to defeat? Wow, I should give him or credit. "This is insane! She's a monster!" Shouted an other mercenary. A monster? That seems a little far fetched! Looks like my training with Hak and Gija as paid off though.

"If your wondering how I did that. The answers simple. He was weak." I sighed looking at the remaining four then to the one fallen mercenary as I flipped my hair over shoulder. "Why you little!" One of the men began marching toward me. As he approached I prepared to attack him but before either of us could do anything he and the other four that were conscious collapsed to the ground. "Wh-What?!" I stuttered. I spun around and saw Gija his dragon arm raised as his claws gleamed off the candle light a shadow over his eyes.

"What were you thinking?! Taking on five mercenaries on your own?!" He scolded running to my side. I gave him a weak smile. "Scold me latter Jea-Ha he needs help." I chuckled relief washing over me as I looked him up and down happy to see him unharmed. I looked in Jea-Ha's direction and exploded into laughter as I saw Hak carrying him away. I wiped away on coming tears gasping for breath knowing that Yun would take care of him. "Aaaa! We did it!" I cried jumping up and tackling Gija with a hug.

He caught me and raised me onto his shoulders. "Yes, it seems we have." Gija sighed. I rested my hands on his head and giggled. "Hay, Gija?" I called. "Yea?" I leaned over his head and gave him a big smile. "Promise me, something?!" I asked. He raised a brow looking at me as if he expected me to do down kind of magic trick. "What? Gija questioned. "Promise me............... Promise me, that you always be there. You won't leave me, right? Not until today, I wasn't afraid of dying and I'm still not afraid of dying in an away. What terrified me today wasn't just dying. It was dying alone.... I never want to feel that way again. So please! I know this is selfish of me! But please! Promise me that you won't leave me!" I cried.

Gija remained quite for a minute. The only thing braking the silence was my historical sobs. I had returned to my normal self. Gija they gently reached up and grasped my hands. "May, I promise you. I won't leave you." I sniffle a large smile curling my lips. "Th-Th-Thank you......brother."
