I gave an blood curdling scream closing my eyes as I waited for the sword to hit me. Nothing happened. Slowly I opened one eye at a time my eyes widen as I see the murderer on the floor curled in a ball and groaning as Soo-Won loomed over him. A deadly look in his eyes as he glared down at him.

Tears poured down my cheeks as I shakily got to my feet my eyes never leaving the limp body of the man who just tried to kill me until I managed to run behind Soo-Won. With trembling hands I clutched the back of his robe listening to my shattering heart beat slowly disappear as I calmed down. "Soo-Oh...." I mumbled unsure how I could express just how thankful I was.

He turned around causing me to let go of his robe and step back surprised from the sudden movement. He grabbed my shoulders tightly and lowered himself to eye level, worry painting his face as his eyes scanned me. A moment later his grip loosened and a sigh of relief escaped his lips the worry on his face disappearing being replayed with its usual cheerful carefree expression. "Your ok, your not hurt." Soo-Won huffed a small smile curling his lips.

"Y-Yes, I'm fine. Th-Thanks to you." I replied looking down at the floor unsure what else to say. Was he really concerned about my safety? "Now that I've taken care of the two intruders~" He began "Wait! Hold it! There were two of these whack jobs?!" I interrupted waving a hand toward the limp figure on the floor.

Soo-Won nodded. "Yes, I handled the first one and believing that my work was finished, headed back here. Then I heard you scream and came as quickly as I could." He explained grabbing my hand and leading me to the other side of the room. "Now that it's over, you should get some sleep." He instructed nudging me toward the bed.

"Yea, there's no way I can sleep after that." I said gesturing once again to the figure on the floor. "Besides, I'm not tired. Let's go do something!" I continued grabbing the sleeve of his robe eagerly and looking up at him. "Like what?" He questioned. "I don't know, anything!" He raised a brow. "Anything?" Soo-Won repeated. "Yes anything!"

Is this a joke? I found myself thinking as I stood on a stool my arms spread out well a tailer toke my measurements. "Um, Soo-Oh? Why am I being measured?" I asked looking over to him. Currently he was standing beside a rack full of fabrics examining each one looking between the rack and me.

"You'll be staying here for a while, most likely till your heath returns to normal. Until then you'll be attending meetings with me and formal gatherings since I need to keep an eye on you. It would be useful if you had something a bit more elegant then what your wearing right now when you attend these type of things with me." He explained his eyes not leaving a lavender colored fabric.

I pouted childishly puffing out my cheeks in disagreement. "That sounds boring." I grumble my nose wrinkling slightly as I pictured a whole bunch of people sitting at a table talking about boring documents. "It might be at first but I think you'll like the tribe leaders especially Mundok from the wind tribe. He as a son that's a good friend of mine. His names Son Hak. Have you heard of him?"

"You mean that guy with the giant spear that goes by the name Thunder Beast!" I ask jerking away from from the tailer at the name of the notorious fighter. "Thats him." Soo-Won chuckled looking over at me with an amused smile, it only growing as he watched the tailer do his best not to strange me for moving. "May, how about you stay still for awhile so the tailer can do his job?" He suggested.

I looked over at the poor tailer who was giving Soo-Won a look of thanks and frowned. "Sorry mister, I didn't realize I had to stay still." I apologize returning to my original position ignoring the ache in my arms. "Soo-Oh!?" I called. He turned to me telling me I had his attention. "Yes?"

"C-Can you.... Can you...." I began my fave flushing red. I looked away embarrassed. "Never mind." I grumbled irritated with myself.
Soo-Won raised a brow his hand leaving the lavender fabric as he walked toward me. "What?" He questioned. "It's nothing." I mutter not making eye contact with him.

"I don't think it is. What is it?" He asked insisting that he get an answer from me. "I was...... Wondering..... Can you.... Take me somewhere.....to ride a horse with you?" I managed to say my face heating up. Immediately Soo-Won began to laugh only causing my red face to turn maroon. "Wh-What's so funny!" I demanded angrily fighting the urge to raise my hand so that I could run a hand through my hair. A new habit of mine.

"Nothing, it's just sometimes I forget just how young you are." He chuckled. "Are you implying that I just acted childishly!" I questioned. He opened his mouth to reply but was cut of by the tailer. "Done!" The man announced happily removing the measuring tape from my arm and rolling it up. "That's great, thank you for your services." Soo-Won replied as the tailer gathered his things hurriedly and left giving us a bow before he walked through the door.

I grabbed my shoulder and rolled it stretching out my stuff muscles. "Ok, what's next?" I asked looking over to him as I rolled my other shoulder. "Well, I have a meeting to attend to and was planning on putting your care in the hands of the assistants, just this once." Soo-Won answered as we began to walk out toward the door.

As much as the idea of attending a boring old meeting displeased me the idea of leaving Soo-Won's side, surprising, made me even more upset. I suck my head no wildly frowning. "No! I want to come!" I argued all maturity being thrown out the window.
Soo-Won frowned looking at me curiously. "I though you said they were boring?" He teased.

"They are, but I don't want to be left with a whole bunch of people I don't know!" I replied bluntly shivering as this evenings run in with the intruder flashed before my eyes. Soo-Won seemed to know what I was thinking and muttered something then, giving a sigh of defeat as I looked up at him with pleading eyes he agreed to allow me to come.

I gave a small cheer grabbing his hand and dragging him through the palace halls unsure were we were headed. Even so it didn't matter to me, all I cared about was enjoying myself. It was selfish of me I know and unfair to Soo-Won but after being in human trafficking I realized two things. One, I hadn't accomplished much in my life. Two, there was still so much I wanted to do.

These were two facts I planned to change. If I'm gunna die I want my life to mean something. "Dad gave me this life for a reason, now I just need to find out why." I mumbled to myself a smile curling lips. "Did you say something?"
Soo-Won asked. I looked over my shoulder as I still dragged him around my smile only growing.
"Nothing important."
