The Weak And Helpless (Yona of the dawn)

We stood in front of the shop were the human trafficking was taking place. It seemed to normal, it blends in with the neighboring buildings perfectly. I would have never guessed that this is where such a horrible act was happening. Yun turned to Yona and me. "Are you ready? Once we go in there's no backing down." He asked. Me and Yona exchanged a determined looked and gave Yun a nod.

We strolled in Yona and Yun blocking my view of the shop as they walked in front of me. A small bell ring as the door slowly opened announcing our arrival to anyone inside. Immediately and older man ran up to us a smile on his face. "Hello ladies what can I help you with?" He greeted.

"We heard that you were offering good paying jobs." Yona explained with a closed eyed smile. The man examined Yona and Yun unaware of my presence as I gave him a death glare. Touch them  and you die! Yona continued to smile as Yun gave the man a small wink. "I think we can squeeze you ladies in." He replied a large smile still on his face. "What about me!" I demanded my anger getting the beast of me as I gently pushed past the Yun and Yona revealing my presence.

Really! How do you not notice me when we're like five minutes in the conversation! The man looked down to me and frowned. "The jobs here are only being offered to young woman not little girls." He answered rudely. I held back the urge to pull my dagger out on the guy. He turns to Yona and Yun. "Please follow me." He requested politely treating them the exact opposite as he had treated me.

"Wait! Please!" I shouted grabbing the mans shirt. I willed tears to brim my eyes as I looked up at him mentally gaging. Kill me now. "Please, I need this job! My parents died recently and I have nowhere to go! So if your worried about someone coming for me, don't. I'll work hard and do my part!" I pleaded having to keep in mind that I supposedly believed I was trying to get a job. This is disgraceful!

The man looked at me surprised as my sudden eagerness. I can't take no for an answer no matter what. I have no where to go if I fail. The ships gone and I'm the only own a weapon. "This job isn't for little kids." He spat angrily throwing my to the ground. As I crashed to the floor I rapped my arms around my sash to prevent the movement of my daggers.

Yona and Yun rushed to my side helping my up, Yun was giving the man an furious stare as I rubbed my side feeling a bruise form. "If she can't join, then we have no intension of working here either!" Yona informed the man as I got to my feet Yun examining me for any serious injures. It was just a push, how fragile does he think I am?

"What!" The man cried his eyes widening and concern clear in his voice. "Ok, ok, the kid can work here!" He declared as we all turned to the exit pretending to leave. "Then it's settled!" Yona cheered. We all went back to the man. He heaved a sigh of defeat as I gave him my best "I win!" Smirk. Probably not a smart call considering they were about to take me prisoner but being by Yun and Yona's side gave me a sense of protection.

"Follow me." The man groaned gesturing toward a wooden door. "Wait inside, we'll be with you in a moment." He informed opening the door to reveal an empty room. Not strange at all! We reluctantly walked and instantly the door was closed shut tight behind us. The sickening sound of a lock clipping filled the room. We can't get out. I looked over to Yona to see her trembling. "Don't worry, I've been through this. We'll get through it together, the three of us." I reassured.

A calm look crosses Yona's face at my words and I took a step toward her but didn't get anywhere as Yona and the wall behind her turned to nothing but a blur. My eyes widen as I realize we're falling. My stomach had been left up at the shop as I looked down to see the floor. "Get ready to land!" I ordered. Looking at a falling Yun. He gave me a nod and looked back down. I looked to the floor as well.
