Unexpected

Dinner

"Brad, gusto nyo mag dine out? My treat." Bamboo was telling Pancho and Chico after they are done with checking of some photos that will be used for his upcoming album.

" Bro may lagnat ka? Dinner talaga?" Chico was telling him that Pancho was just laughing at the side. He actually had idea why all of a sudden Bamboo wanted to go on dinner.

" Bro, honestly, don't. Not a good idea."
Pancho said na natatawa

" What?"

" If Asher sees you at the place where she's having a dinner meeting, naku for sure maiinis yun  sa iyo and instead na ma good shot ka mas bad shot dating mo." Pancho said and Bamboo can't say anything. I'm busted he said in his mind.

"Ayun, lumabas din totoo, magbabantay kaya mag lilibre ng dinner. Wag na uy, baka pati sa amin maasar pa si Asher, not a good idea bro tama si kuya Pancho."

" Okay okay, but she's meeting Rico Blanco, that famous chef and restaurateur."

" So, ano naman, don't tell me insecure ka dun?"

"Of course not, why should I? It's just that, Asher is new here in Manila and how sure ba na matino yun? He's a known ladies man."

" Well, you're a known ladies man yourself, ano problema mo?"

Bamboo wasn't able to say something sa huling sinabi ni Chico. Pancho was just observing his friend/ward.

" Hey, relax ka lang bro, you have an edge on any guy na mapapalapit kay Asher. First, well knowing you have HISTORY, tapos meron pa kayong CHEMISTRY, then may family connections pa kayo. Ikaw pa first kiss nya, so dami mo edge, just make sure lang na you prove her na worth ka mahalin."

" Kaya start cleaning up your act too. Sabagay after naman nyo magkita ni Asher sa anniversary ng parents mo, hindi kana nakipag date ulit kahit kanino, pero brad medyo makulit mga former dates mo, pati ako tinatawagan pag ignore mo mga calls and messages nila."

" Oo mga Bamboo, isa yan sa big turn off pag nagkataon, bawat kilos mo pa naman madalas ma BI sa Fashion Pulis."

"Hmm, nice interior, I must say. And yung sa labas I like the homey feel, nice. Good taste I must say."Asher was telling Rico as he helps her sit on their reserved table.

Rico Blanco is a chef. Graduate from CIA , Culinary Institute Of America in Napa Valley. He's pure Filipino pero laking America din. He ventures into the business just several years ago and is doing pretty good.

" Well, thank you, coming from a topnotched architect and a beautiful lady, I'm flattered, but wait till you taste one of my specialty, it's actually adobo with a twist." Rico was all smiles talking to Asher. He's actually a fairly good looking guy. Typical Filipino features but with his good sense of humor and charming personality, makes him appealing to women.

Natawa si Asher when she heard adobo. In her mind.Hala adobo na kaninang lunch, adobo na naman for dinner.. well kapal ko naman if mamili ako. She can't help but remember Bamboo and their lunch. His was a simple adobo, almost dried but with pineapple chunks. She actually loved his adobo napasarap kain nya kanina. She was smiling at the thought of their lunch earlier that she didn't hear what was Rico was saying.
