Gone

Chapter 12

Chanyeol is already sleeping beside Kyungsoo and he just cant sleep. His thought wondered around the universe. From him to Jongin, Baekhyun and Channie. Though he has no concrete evidence that something happened when he was gone, he can feel it. He slowly crawl out from the bed and made way outside his room. The lights in the living room are left on, since he is afraid in the dark. He walked comfortable to the balcony of the house. It was all dark. He was turning back when he heard sobs from one corner. It must be Baek. He carefully opened the screen door and tried not to be affected by his fear of darkness. It was indeed Baek. He was curling in the couch and hugging his knees.

"Why didn't you tell me anything that is bothering you and cry here alone?" Kyungsoo asked taking sit seat beside his friend.

Baek looked at him. Though he can't see anything, he can feel the sadness in Baek's stare.

"Its dark in here, why are you here?"

"Can you tell me why are you crying?" Kyungsoo grabbed the other's hand and hold them tight.

"Nothing?" Baek briefly answers and he let out that gust of sadness in his chest.

"You wont cry for nothing? You can tell me anything that is upsetting you now." Baek did not answer and Kyungsoo was just waiting for his reply. "Love?"

Baek made a small laugh.

"Smart. Very smart Kyungsoo!" Baek suddenly threw his arms to Kyungsoo and hug him and cried on his shoulders. He was trying to hold the sound of his sobs. Kyungsoo got nothing to do but to lightly tap his back. "Im sorry if I can't be honest to you Kyungie. But I loved you so much. Remember that." He said in between his sniffles.

Kyungsoo felt his heart's burden are being doubled and it is heavy for him to bear. The held Baek as tight as he could. He can feel his heart is aching, its piercing into pieces that he cant bear not to cry. His tears started to fall and he allowed it to trail in his cheeks. He understands the feeling that is troubling Baek now. He knows the weight of the feeling.

"I understand." He briefly whispers.

"No you don't. You don't even know the reason why I cried." Baek separated himself from Kyungsoo. "Its more than what you thought."

"Of course I do. You don't really have to carry it all along. I will listen to everything you will say. I will try to understand you."

"I don't think you could Kyungie. I feel that I am not myself anymore."

"It could happen. There's a time that we are into a situation where your mind is being buried by your heart. When you prefer to be just happy and forget the complications that it could bring. Honestly, sometimes we need to be selfish and just be happy for ourselves but remember, Im just here, I am willing to understand and I would always be here for you." Kyungsoo left Baek alone and headed to the living room and sleep himself in the couch. He now understands why he found that necklace on the floor.

His heart aches. He has to feel that. He doesn't know how long Baekhyun kept his feelings for Channie. Did he really hurt him every time he and Chanyeol show affection towards each other in front of Baek? Did Channie really loved him? How come he did not notice the pain in Baek's eyes? Did Channie share the same feeling to Baek? He never understand.

All his duties and responsibilities are being transferred to Jongdae when he returned to the office the next day. Jongdae was quite shocked but he was kind of expecting Kyungsoo's resignation. Jongin on the other hand has maintained his stance on being casual to Kyungsoo even if there are times that he is stealing glances to the smaller and make a smile.
