Chapter 14

Jongin parked his car when we reach the Yongsan Family Park. It was so quite since there are only few people around and the cold air is blowing. Jongin get the food from the back seat and placed them on the nearest bench. Kyungsoo walked around and look up in the sky.

"Wah. I wish I can see the sky and the stars." He murmured while looking up then looking at the guy.

Jongin smiled and walked towards the younger guy. He hugged him from the back and kissed his shoulders.

"I'll show you the stars and the moon Soo. I promised you that." He said hugging him even more.

Kyungsoo remembered the meeting with the chairman a while ago. The threats about them being together. The shut his eyes and take a long breath.

"Nini, what about the merger?" He said standing still waiting for the response that might break his heart. Of course Jongin will choose the company over him.

"Oh that? Yeahm she mentioned that after her reign as Miss Korea next month, she will personally manage their business and she wanted to have the merger first before we get married."

Kyungsoo did not react. He knew it.

"I guess we need to end this thing Nini." Kyungsoo removed Jongin's arms from hugging him and faced the younger guy.

"What? What are you talking about?"

"There's no use of us being together but in the end you'll gonna marry Krystal Nini. I mean, I understand your decision, I do." He take one step backwards.

"Soo, listen, I told Krystal everything about us." Jongin also take a step forward to Kyungsoo and held him in both of his shoulders.

"What?" His eyes becomes bigger.

Jongin smiled and nod. He cupped Kyungsoo's cheeks and give him a peck on his lips.

"Yes, and she understands my decision. Anyway she was all against the marriage but just agreed because of her father. We will not announce to our parties about the break up yet but we will pursue the merger because married or not, we both need our companies support." He said with a joy glittering in his eyes.

Kyungsoo jumped and threw a hug on Jongin. Jongin in return hugged him and hummed as the sway each other.

"I love you so much Soo. You know, even if she won't accept our relationship and just break the merger, I can still find a way to support our company." Jongin said confidently.

They went to sit on the bench and share the food that Jongin bought for dinner talking about random things and about Kyungsoo's medication.

"Are you cold?" Jongin asked to the shivering Kyungsoo.

"I need a hug, maybe?" He said smiling.

Jongin sit on the hood of his car and call Kyungsoo to come. He hugged him from the back as Kyungsoo leaned backwards to Jongin's chest. Jongin rested his chin on Kyungsoo's head and then kissed his hair.

"Nini, what if your dad will not acknowledge us?" He said out of the blue.

Jongin laughed a little and stroke Kyungsoo's cheeks.

"You worry too much. We just crossed one bridge today and let's not think about complicated matters this time." He gently said.

Kyungsoo sighed and did not replied to Jongin. He just continue to lean on his chest and closed his eyes listening to his heartbeat.

Baekhyun figured out who was the man standing in the dark near his car. He was wearing his black sweater and his cap. He sighed and walked towards him. He looked around to make sure that Lay or any of the men around see them.

"What are you doing here?" He asked to Chanyeol.

"Can we talk?" He said in his deep sad voice. Baek sighed and signaled him to follow him to his car.

"What are we going to talk about?" He asked to the giant as they both lock their seatbelts.

Baek started the engine and drive the car out of the mansion.

"About what happened about us?" Chan said looking at Baek.

Baek did not answered to Chan instead he step the cars speed.

"Baek what are you doing?" Chan panicked a little because they already exceeded the city's speed limit.

Baek must have realized that he is doing nonsense, he slow down the car and take a deep breath.

"Chan, that was wrong. It was the greatest mistake I ever made please, lets forget about it."

"But you said you loved me!" Chan exclaimed.

Baek parked his car on the side of the road. He faced Chan.

"We are not worth the word Chanyeol, believe me."

Chan eagerly grab Baek's hand and kissed it. Baek firmly closed his eyes. His heart ached and he wanted to hug Chanyeol.

"Don't you know, that I have an idea that Kyungsoo has already an idea that something happened. I don't want to hurt him again. He is my best friend and he has been sad all his life and it's only when you arrived in his life that he felt happiness. Chan listen to me. This is wrong." This time Baek shed a tear in his eyes. Chan dearly looked at the crying guy and gently wipe his tears.

"I know. I know. And I am fucking guilty about it. Baekyun I'm going to tell him about us."

"Are you going crazy? No Chanyeol. You can't do that to my brother. I love him so much."

"But what are going to do?''

"I don't know. Maybe we will just forget it."

They stayed silent for so long not even looking at each other. Baek knows deep in his heart that he loved this guy from the moment he saw him with Kyungsoo. He was the most caring, funny and romantic man he ever met. Being with Kyungsoo, Baek kept his feelings away from Chan. He put the boundary of their relationship and he always put himself on distance from Chan. But when Kyungsoo went to work and became busy to his work, Chan always turn to Baek to ask where is Kyungsoo, on why Kyungsoo is not picking up his phone. Who would pick Kyungsoo from work? He has no choice but to communicate with Chan, and his heart to fall for him even more. His heart belongs to him even before but this time he fell for him even deeper.

Chanyeol on the other hand, felt guilty for the things he has done. But he never regretted it. He admitted that he loved Kyungsoo, yes but the love has slowly faded away. Day by day, he felt that Kyungsoo also has drifted away from him and he never hold him back. He felt that Kyungsoo tried to make their relationship works by constantly going to him and talking to him. But when he started to work, it all changed to something he never expected. They are just together because they are ought to be together and not because they wanted and needed each other. Baek was there, naturally drifting into his heart. And he never even attempted to stop himself from falling into his gummy smiles and his pitchy voice. And now it gets too much, too complicated.
