Satine had walked outside and was stood underneath the giant red windmill. She still had tears coming down her face.

"How could he not tell me Christian? All my life I believed that no one ever loved me. That I was worthless. You know I used to get bullied at school for growing up at the Rouge. For not knowing who my parents were. I used to get teased and taughnted terribly. It's all my fault, my mother dying, the way I lived, what I turned out to be. Everything!" She shouted.

"Nothing is your fault Satine." Christian held Satine in his embrace whilst she cried gently into his shoulder. "Do you hear me? Nothing."

"I just wish Harold would of told me sooner. Finding all this out now. What about if something awful happens to me when the baby is born? What if I don't survive? What if..."

"Nothing bad is going to happen. I won't let it." He said cutting her up before she could continue.

"I don't want this baby to have the childhood that I had." Satine sat down on a near by bench. "I was always so distant at school, lost in my own world. I used to get told off by the teachers for not listening. Eventually I was taken out of school and I grew up in the Rouge, learning to do this and that. Harold used to say it was the only way to keep me safe. My baby isn't going to live like this." He hugged her again.

"Shall we go inside? I think you need to carry on talking to Ziddler, don't you?"

"I guess so. I just wish he would be more happy about this baby. He is going to be a grandfather after all. I still cannot believe I am his daughter, after all this time. I used to think that my father was a rotten man and that my mother didn't love me and all this time my father was there with me, watching me grow up." Satine walked back into the Rouge and Christian walked behind her.

Christian didn't know how he felt about this. He was shocked, of course, but this didn't change anything for him. He still loved Satine more then ever and the baby too. It did make him certain of something though. "Hey Satine, I know one thing."

Satine stopped and looked at Christian. "Yeah, what's that?"

"That this baby is going to have BOTH their parents. Caring and loving them endlessly." He smiled and put his hands on her stomach. This baby made Christian so happy. He was going to be the best father ever. Not like his father was to him and certainly not like Harold was to Satine.

When they arrived back at Harold's Office, Harold wasn't there. "I wonder where he has gone." They had just turned around and were going towards the stairs when Satie ran into the room "Come on you two, everyone is waiting for you in the rehearsal room. Now!" Christian looked at Satine before they both ran down and were soon in the rehearsal room.

"What is going on?" Satine asked.

"Hello Satine, I'm very proud of you and I'm here if you want anything." This was Le Chocolat. She had not seen him since the performance.

"Why thank you Chocolat but how do you know?" Satine asked, a little shocked and stunned at the same time.

"Toulouse told us. He was so excited, he couldn't keep it in." Satine upon hearing this walked away from him and went on a hunt for Toulouse. As she was about to go through the curtains, on the stage, to see if he was behind there Toulouse came out. "Satine darling, you can't go back there!"

"Toulouse! Who else have you told? I didn't want anyone to know yet!!" Satine said in a snake like voice.

"Only Chocolat, Nini and Satie..." He blushed a little.

"Oh thank you for telling me! Just make sure you don't tell anyone else. Okay?" Before Toulouse could reply back Christian shouted down to her from the opposite end of the hall.

"Satine, come here please!" Satine walked back over to Christian.

"Did you know?"

"Know what?" He asked, dumb found.

"That Toulouse has told people?" She asked.

"No I didn't. Who did he tell?"

"Chocolat, Nini and Satie. What are you smiling about?" As Satine had began to talk a smile had formed on his face. He grabbed her by her waist and turned her around. She turned around to see that the big red curtains had been opened and in the middle stood a little cot and loads of bits and bobs around it.

"Satine, Poppet, I'm sorry about my outburst earlier and I was hoping this would make it up to you. It's your old cot and some of your old teddies and toys. Do you like them? I thought you could have them for when the baby arrives." Satine didn't know what to say. Harold had come out from behind the mountain of teddies at the side of the cot and had started walking towards her.

"Harold... I don't know what to say..." She was so shocked. She thought Harold wanted nothing to do with the baby.

"At first I didn't want you to have this baby but after seeing how much you care and how strong you and Christian are, I know that you are perfectly capable of looking after a baby so I got everyone in here and asked them to round up some things. I can't believe my little sparrow is going to have an even littler sparrow." Satine had started to cry. She was so happy.

"Oh Harold." She said before hugging him. Harold smiled and so did Christian. He knew that everything was going to be alright now.
