It had been three months since both of Satine's dreams. She had not had one since and everything seemed to be looking up. It was probably due to stress she told herself, that was why she was having the nasty dreams.
Satine was getting so big now, she thought she was going to burst. She knew that she could hardly do anything now, all she could do was sit and wait. The sitting and the waiting didn't take long. It was a sunny Tuesday morning and Satine was sat outside reading a book whilst Christian was running about making sure everything was okay, as he knew the due date was edging ever closer.
Satine was about to start reading chapter eighteen of her book when she felt funny. Then her stomach started to ache. It was time. She tried to stand up but couldn't! "Christian! Harold! Anyone!" Luckily Marie was near by, she always stayed close to Satine now that she was closer to her due date. She saw Satine in pain and shouted to someone to go and get Christian.
"It's okay Satine, the baby is coming that's all." Marie said, how could she be so calm in this situation, but then again she was there when her mother had given birth to her so Satine expected that she understood. Christian came running outside. He looked white as chalk. "Satine! What do we do? Where do we go? The baby's coming." He screamed. Marie moved away from Satine and tapped Christian on the back.
"Christian! Calm down, Satine really needs you to be cool and collective right now!" Christian breathed in and out and then helped Satine up out of the chair. He made Marie hold her up whilst he went to go and get Harold car. Soon Satine was sat in the back of the car with Marie next to her. "Ready?" Christian said to Satine. Satine nodded, she was sweating and her face was screwed up.
Fifteen minutes later Satine was in the waiting room in agonising pain. Christian was at the desk talk to the receptionist asking to see a doctor. "Please, the mother to my baby is about to give birth. When can we see a doctor?" He demanded.
"As soon as one is free sir." Was all the receptionist said before looking through some more papers that were in her hand. Christian sighed and walked back over to where Satine was sat. She was clutching her stomach and her face was screwed up.
"Christian, it hurts so badly! Where is the doctor?" Satine was scared, she was in so much pain and she didn't know what to do.
"The doctor will be coming soon Satine." He took hold of her hand and started to rub it gently, he was doing his best to stay calm for Satine.
A man dressed in blue then came up to the desk. "Yes where are they?" He said to the receptionist. She pointed to where Satine and Christian were sat. He walked over to them and said "Come with me Miss. You best come as well sir, although you won't be allowed inside." Christian nodded, this troubled him. He wanted to stay with Satine, he wanted to be by her side. To try and make this easier.
Christian looked at Satine before kissing her and rubbing her stomach. Then the doctor took her into a room and Christian pulled up a chair outside. He tried sitting down but he was too nervous. How was he supposed to sit down? His girlfriend was giving birth to his daughter. Then a thought came into Christians head. No! It won't! Everything will be okay, thought. His mind kept drifting back to it. The dream that Satine had. When she had the baby in her dream.
Every so often another person would walk into the room and each time it happened Christian tried to look in, to get a glimpse at Satine. After the third doctor was about to walk in, Christian was now worried at this time, he stopped him. "Excuse me? Is everything okay? I'm the father, I'm worried is all. There seems to be a lot of people going in and out." Christian didn't know how long he had been pacing there but he was beginning to feel tired.
"Yes sir everything is alright there is no need to worry. The baby is nearly here." This made Christian burst with glee. He would soon be holding his little baby girl.
Another twenty minutes passed and the doctor, who took Satine into the room in the first place, came out and looked at Christian. "It's time sir. You can come in now." Christian didn't know what to do. He was going to see her. He couldn't contain his excitement. He walked in and at first he couldn't see her then when another doctor pulled back the curtain there she was. His little baby girl was laying on Satine's chest. As soon as he saw this he started to well up.
Christian walked over slowly. Satine looked very pale and drained. Christian had a massive smile on his face. "Satine? I cannot believe it. She is here." Satine looked up and him and smiled.
"She is here Christian. Everything is okay." Christian knew exactly what Satine was going on about. He leant over and kissed her. A doctor, the one who pulled back the curtain, came over and picked up their baby. Satine was going to start in protest but before she could the doctor intervened.
"Don't worry miss, we just need to wrap her up so she doesn't get cold."
As soon as they did that they walked back over and was going to give her back to Satine but she smiled and said "No, it's time her daddy held her."
Christian stood there as the doctor passed her too him. As Christian was holding her, trying not to cry, he smiled. "She so beautiful, just as beautiful as you my diamond." The words left Christians lips and just as they left the baby opened her eyes. They were bright blue, just like her mothers. She was looking up at him.
