A couple days after Satine and Christian had found out about there baby girl they had begun to tell people around the Rouge. They didn't see the point of keeping it a secret. Ziddler was still so happy about the whole thing. It was great.
One morning Christian woke up and looked over at Satine and the baby. He smiled a little smile and wondered something. He wanted to do something good for Satine. He wanted to show that he still loved her. Then the idea came to him. He would take her out on a trip. They could go to the theatre and watch a play. Yes! She would love it. With this idea planted in his mind Christian got up and started preparing everything for the day.
Two hours later Satine opened her eyes. She stretched and sat up in her bed. She looked over to where Christian should of been but wasn't. In an instant she started to panic. Where was he? Just then Christian walked through the door, even though his face was covered, with a dozen red roses, Satine knew it was him. He walked over to her side and placed them on her lap before saying "A rose for a rose." And planted a tender kiss onto her head. Satine smiled and gave a slight giggle.
"What are these for?" She wondered.
"For being you! And for letting me fall in love with you." He gave a cheeky smile.
"Well you wouldn't give up you see and any ways you are my prince." She smiled back at him before picking the roses up and smelling them. "Mmm... My favourite. Thank you."
"You're welcome. The day doesn't end there though. How would you like to go to the theatre tonight and watch the new show? It's called 'In A Sparkle' I heard it is really good and I know you'll like it."
Satine smiled again. "Oh Christian I would love that!" She leant forward and tried to hug him but couldn't get past the bump. She sighed. "I cannot wait till she is born so I can get rid of this and go back to hugging you freely." She laughed and smiled. Satine was so happy now days.
Later that night, after Satine had gotten dressed and ready they both walked outside the Rouge and waited to call a cab, since Christian didn't own a car. Soon a cab pulled up on the curb and Christian helped Satine in before closing the door as he sat down. "To the All In Lights theatre please."
It was about seven O' clock. During the ride to the theatre (which took about ten minutes) Christian was holdings Satine's hand and making sure she was okay. He was so worried about Satine these days. She hadn't had any more accidents which was a good thing but because she was pregnant he was now very protective of her and the baby.
Finally they arrived outside the theatre and the cab pulled up. Christian helped Satine out of the cab before paying the man. He then turned around to walk into the theatre with Satine.
It took them roughly half an hour to get there tickets and settled into there assigned seats. As soon as they sat down Christian was fussing over Satine all over again. "Are you okay? Comfortable? Too hot? Too cold?" Before he could continue Satine interrupted.
"Christian please stop fussing over me. I will let you know if I feel anything weird or if there is something wrong. I promise." She squeezed his hand and sat back in her seat. The curtains went up and the play began. The play was about a little girl growing up in a difficult situation. She had no parents and was taken in by a family, they looked after her well but the little girl always wanted more from life. It showed her transforming into a woman and making something of her life. "It doesn't matter where you come from, you can be whatever you want." The woman (her name was Sapphire) said to her pupils. Sapphire had grown up to become a teacher and inspire people. With that line said the curtain dropped and the audience applauded.
Satine had been so inspired by the production. She had connected to it in so many ways. It made her think that she can do anything in life. That she will be fine, she has Christian and her little girl, everything was going to be okay. With that thought Satine sighed a happy content sigh. "Satine, I am just going to the bathroom. I won't be long, wait for me here and then we will go back home. It's about eleven O' clock we should still be able to get a cab." Christian then walked out of the aisle and disappeared.
"What a touching play." Satine wanted to turn around and see who was talking but before she could they spoke again. "Don't turn around. I had to wait for Christian to go before talking to you." The voice said when Satine moved slightly. "It was very lovely, the play. You are looking ravishing as ever. That could of been you Satine. You could of been a star." Who was that? Satine was sat dead in her tracks. Frightened. She didn't know what to do. Christian wasn't here and Satine was pregnant, what was she going to do?
Who was the mysterious person? What did they want? What was going to happen? All Satine wanted right now was for Christian to be here.
