A couple of days later Satine was back at the Rouge, with Christian and Sapphire. When the family first arrived back everyone wanted to see Sapphire and hold her, Satine was incredibly protective of her, she didn't want her baby to come to any harm, however she soon began to relax. Harold was the most excited above everyone else, he always wanted to be near Sapphire. "She so cute my little Sparrow" He would say to Satine. "She is the greatest gift ever." He would coo over her. Harold hadn't felt this happy since Satine had first arrived many years ago.
Later that day, when everyone had calmed down, Christian and Satine were in there room packing away there clothes and items from the hospital. "Satine you need to rest, I can do this." Christian said, Satine didn't argue because as a matter of fact she was feeling very drained and just wanted to sleep.
"I think I'm going to go and take a nap sweetie, wake me if Sapphire wants anything." She said before kissing Christian on the cheek and then going over to Sapphires cot and placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. "My little princess." She whispered before laying down on the double bed and falling asleep almost immediately.
Satine started to dream about living in a big house with Sapphire and Christian, however the joy of the dream didn't last long because soon it started to develop into a nightmare. Satine was trying to find Sapphire but she couldn't, the house was so big and she felt like she was getting ever smaller. "Christian?!" She screamed. The lights in the house started to flicker, there was a cold draught and then a black shadow appeared at the end of the corridor. "Christian, is that you? Have you seen Sapphire? I can't find her." The shadowed figure didn't say anything, it didn't even move. Satin turned away, very slowly and cautiously, before walking down the corridor again.
"You won't find her Satine." Satine stopped in her tracks, she could feel a cold draught on her neck, it sent a shiver down her spine. She turned around, again. Looking at the figure at the end of the hall.
"What? What do you mean? Where is she, where is my daughter?!" Satine walked forward, towards the figure.
"You won't find her Satine." Was all the figure was saying, nothing more.
"Please tell me!" Satine was becoming increasingly stressed and anxious.
"You won't find her Satine." Satine ran towards the figure but she tripped and fell. She had twisted her ankle and she had a nasty cut on her arm. "I'm coming Satine." Then Satine woke up.She had sweat pouring off her face and Christian was sat beside Satine with Sapphire in his arms.
"Satine, what happened? You haven't been like this for ages." Satine ignored him and took Sapphire off him. She hugged her baby and started to cry. "Satine what happened." Satine didn't say anything, she just held Sapphire close and hugged her.
She eventually spoke, but not to Christian or herself but to Sapphire. "I'm never letting you go, I'm going to make sure you're safe. You're never going to be lost or alone. I'm staying here Sapphire, no one will ever take you away from me. Mummy is here." Christian was becoming worried, why was she talking like this.
"Satine what's wrong? Nothing is going to happen to Sapphire, she is completely safe with us." Satine looked up at Christian. Her eyes were red but her blue pupils pierced through, fiery.
"How do you know that? Can you guarantee her safety all the time Christian? No you can't! You don't know what is going to happen in the future, you aren't a fortune teller. She isn't safe, she will never be safe unless she is with me!" Christian was slightly scared.
"Satine, come on you need to rest, you're not making any sense. Satine shook him off her as he tried to places her back down onto the pillow.
"No, I don't want to sleep! I want to look after Sapphire, I'm going to make sure she is safe! Why can't you understand that?"
"Satine, I will watch Sapphire, she will be safe with me." Christian tried to take Sapphire off Satine but she wouldn't let him.
"No! Leave her alone, she is staying with me! She is staying safe, you can't keep her safe, you don't know how. I do! I am going to protect her!"
Christian didn't know what to do.
Satine wasn't making sense.
What had happened from her taking a nap to waking up?
