Nick's POV
"What are they talking about?!" I demanded silently, peering into the other room through the doorway.
"They're talking about what Nick's going to do when Iggy's tour ended." Cory said.
"What?" I asked, turning to him.
He looked at me in exhaustion "Seriously, Man. You need to focus, Do you want to go with Kelly Clarkson?"
I heard Olivia bursting to laughter as Miley giggled, I turned my gaze to them again curiously. "Nick! Focus!" Cory exclaimed impatiently.
"I'm sorry, We shouldn't be laughing. That's horrible!" I heard Olivia laugh.
"They're talking about me, aren't they?!" I hissed suspiciously.
"Who fucking cares?! You know who's really talking about you right now?! You and me, Nick!"
"I've seen much worse, and believe me it's too hilarious to not be laughed at!" Miley said.
"Are they talking about me?!" I said again.
"Jesus christ! They're girls! They talk about everyone! Leave it alone!"
I turned to him "I don't trust Miley with my girlfriend, okay?"
"Why? You're scared they're secretly lesbian lovers who were brought together by how much they hate you?"
"That's harsh." I pointed out.
"Will you shut up and just discuss this?! You're wasting all of our time!" Cory sighed.
"Oh my God," I muttered in realization.
"What now?!" Cory asked.
"She's high," I said realizing her reddened eyes and then standing up "I better stop her before she gets the chance to drug Olivia."
Cory sighed in exasperation as I walked away, I stopped and hovered over the couch where both girls were sitting and looked up when they saw me. "Hey," I said casually "You girls having fun?"
Miley looked at me in disgust and turned to her new friend. "Sorry, this is my stepdad, Gary." She said and rolled her eyes, causing Olivia to laugh again.
"That's not funny," I snapped.
"You're acting like a dad." She told me.
"Can I speak to you for a moment?" I said quietly.
"Sure," She shrugged.
"In private," I added.
Miley didn't budge, instead she gave me a challenging look, daring me to say whatever I wanted to to the both of them. I couldn't believe I had to this. "Fine," I sighed.
"Don't smoke your weed around Olivia." I spat, Olivia frowned at my attitude and Miley only stared, not even the least bit offended.
"Nick," Olivia said in a warning tone "Why would you say that?"
"I'm looking out for you," I whispered to her.
"I'm not a drug dealer," Miley said, making me turn to her "But I am a kind and generous person who offered to accompany your really sweet girlfriend since you're too busy. And I hate that you had to interrupt."
I was honestly expecting her to say how horrible of a person I am for leaving Olivia alone to do business, and started lecturing me in front of her of how much it would make her feel neglected and upset. But she didn't, I guess that she just doesn't want to humiliate Olivia.
"Nick, we're just talking." Olivia said quietly.
I honestly don't know why I'm so worried, I knew Miley wouldn't really offer her to smoke with her, and if she would Olivia would never. Maybe I'm just a little over protective, I'm kind of curious what they were talking about and couldn't stand not knowing and just interrupted.
