Nick's POV
"Did it work?" Cory instantly asked when I came into Miley's house.
I smiled really wide and stepped over to the side, revealing Miley who was walking behind me. I turned to her and she stopped in her tracks, she eyed me really coldly before she looked at Cory. He let out a delighted howl and raised his hand up to high-five me.
I threw my hand into the air and it collided with his palm, I could hear Miley scoff at our reactions.
"This is amazing." Cory said and let out a loud laugh "Your plan worked!"
"Didn't I tell you?" I said cockily.
"What did Tish say?" He asked curiously, I glanced at Miley who looked like she was judging us, I tried to ignore it. "Well, at first she was pissed at me-really pissed-and after I told her she was like...'If you really love Miley then I shouldn't come between you.'"
Cory cracked up dramatically, bending down and holding his stomach. Miley looked absolutely angry and offended he was laughing at her mother. "Nick," She spoke, her voice was cold and it sliced through the air "You should tell your manager that if he decides to act like a total uneducated prick it might put your career in danger." She managed a threatening smile and I turned to Cory who stopped laughing instantly.
"Right," He said, I could see him trying to contain his laughter "Sorry Miley."
Miley didn't reply but continue to glare at him. I cleared my throat to break the ice and Cory looked at me. "I should get going shouldn't I?" I asked.
"Going where?" Miley asked.
"Uh, I'm going home. To my house." I replied.
"You're leaving?" Miley stared at me blankly, I should probably explain why. "I haven't been home in a while; I just want to check on my house. Will that be a problem?"
Miley shook her head plainly; she didn't ask any questions about it. She used to though; she'd ask about everything and ask if it would hurt the relationship. I guess she decided that since this new relationship is different it's none of her concern anymore if it would hurt the relationship. But I was honestly hoping she'd ask if me going home would raise suspicions from her mom. I just liked the way she cares.
"Do you think it'll be a problem for your mom?" I finally contributed.
"Why would it? She'd understand it'd be unhealthy for our 'relationship' if I have to see you all the time. I was expecting you'd move out now since the relationship isn't about publicity or keeping an eye on me anymore."
Wow. She wants to get rid of me now.
I looked over at Cory for approval and he didn't' do anything; he looked like he was waiting for my response. "Uh, okay." I said "If that's what you want. I'll move out." I said casually like it didn't bother me that she wanted me gone so badly.
"Good," She muttered and without another word turned on her heel and went into her room, shutting the door gracefully and coldly behind her.
"Wow, what's her problem?" Cory chuckled amusedly at how Miley's acting.
"I'm not sure," I replied "I think she just doesn't like this whole lying to her mom thing. Tish's really excited, I've never seen her so happy."
"Tell me about that, what did she say?" Cory said excitement surfaced in his tone along with a curious smirk on his face.
I told Cory everything that happened, how I came into the house and how Tish looked like she hated my guts and wanted to murder me. I told her and Miley that I was in love with her and how they both bought it at first.
