Do not be wasteful,
There are kids who cannot afford
Any of the luxuries you posses.
Do not be inattentive,
There are people who live their lives
With little to no education at all.
Do not be weary,
There are those who sleep
Upon rocks and sand every night.
Do not be scared,
The people in store will not shoot at you
Like some do to those your age.
Do not, under all circumstances, be sad,
Because since you have everything,
Food, education, a bed, safety,
Qualifies you as less than human,
And you are not allowed to feel sad.
There are others out there
Who have it worse than you.
