She cupped you carefully in her soft, dainty hands,
holding you close to her chest as if you were the most beautiful rose on earth.
Your petals bloomed brightly, a color so vivid artists wept.
Your aroma enveloped her body.
A wave of perfumes crashing around her, drowning her.

She idolized you, nurturing the rose to her extent.
A willing servant to your command.
A lost lamb obliviously searching for any indication of reciprocation.
Scouring her barren world hoping to regain but a fragment of what she gave away.
Merely a sliver of the nuture and love she used to spoil you.

And she was young. She was blind and naïve.
Unaware of the dangers that litter the the world around her.
She was an optimist. A young fool lost in idealism.
She was a dreamer, who believed in true love and kindness in others.
Inexperienced and immature, she had assumed that no evil tainted the hearts of man.
She truly thought she had been in love...

But when drops shades darker than your petals seemed to weep from her hands,
she spotted your cleverly hidden thorns underneath.
Gentle gaze captivated by your teeth sprouting from your stem,
Crimson tears fell from the larcerations born from malice.

But when bewitching fragrance seemed to spark flames within her lungs,
she noticed the searing pain that tailed your scent.
Each shallow breath fueled the blaze scorching her insides.
Your sweet frangrance had only ever been a toxic odor you had disguised.

But when she shadowed your every step you only led her to her own kind of hell,
she finally understood.
This rose you had so cleverly used as your facade was all a lie,
you never held that beauty she onced believed you did.
Her optimism dwindled. Her idealism stowed away.
And those dreams her hopeful heart bled,
were all destroyed,
nothing but a pile of ashes within her chest.

You took the mirror that reflected her youth to her and shattered it.
You filled it with the new open space with vice and malevolence.
Now when she goes to gaze upon her hope and will and beauty and everything that she loved about herself,
she will now only be greeted with the image of a rose,
she will now only see a weed where she had once stood.
A weed that only fills up space meant for something so much greater than her.

You didn't only just break her heart.
You ruined her mind and quelled the confidence she once had on herself.
She doesnt believe in love anymore, because a rose like you could never fall for a weed like her.
