{Ls POV}
I waited a few minutes for Light but he never came so I just walked to his house. I contemplated whether or not to knock or just leave. I knocked and a woman with a friendly smile and short brown hair greeted me.
"Hello you must be Mrs Yagami. Is Light home?" She looked me up and down and seemed confused. I knew I looked weird so I tried to brake the ice "he's in my classes and I wanted to ask him about the homework." She smiled and told me to go up. I knocked on the door and heard light say what from the other side "It's L.." I scratched the back of my neck as I heard him slowly get up and walk to the door.
"L? What's up?" He asked trying to act nonchalant yet failing miserably. "Can I come in?" He nodded and opened the door more, stepping aside as to invite me in.
"So L wha-" I cut him short leaning in and catching his lips, when I opened my eyes I saw his were closed and he was kissing back. In an attempt to deepen the kiss I ran my tongue along his bottom lip. He opened his mouth as our tongues danced together in perfect synchronisation.
We parted and I panted for breath.
{Lights POV}
We broke apart and I gasped for air before realising. I just kissed him. He just kissed me. I can't... What?
"Sorry Light Kun I couldn't help myself. I've waited a while for that." He said monotonously. "How long?"
"Since elementary school..."
He's liked me that long?
"That's a while..."
"I suppose."
The air around us grew dense and awkward. We stood staring at each other in silence. "Uhm..."
"So light are we friends now?" L said and I couldn't help but smile. "We were friends before idiot." I chuckled in an attempt to make the situation less awkward.
"Right I'll leave you to your business Light Kun thank you for helping me."
He left without a word and I stood for a while with my hand on my lips. Replaying the kiss over and over.
I couldn't believe it to say the least.
