The Maze Runner Imagines/Preferences

Minho Imagine

I slowly open my eyes, the light blurring around the edges of my vision. I hear a voice faintly saying, "She's awake! Get Newt and Minho, they brought her here!" And within a few minutes, two boys around my age entered the room. The first one was a pale, lanky boy but the other one was a tan, muscular boy who had trouble written all over him, from behind his brown eyes swimming in an unknown universe of their own to his sun kissed tan only spent from many hours in the heat. I blink several times to reassure myself he is real.

The pale boy squats beside me and waves a hand in front of my face. I glare at him and say, "I would appreciate if I wasn't studied like a zebra in the zoo, thank you very much." I hear the tan boy snigger from the entrance of the room, and the pale boy rolls his eyes.

"Okay, little Miss Sassy, I see Minho will have to deal with you." He points to the boy at the door and I take note of the name; Minho.

"I'm Newt and I'm second in charge around here. The big boss, Alby, is out in the Maze, but I'll wait for him to give you the tour. You probably won't remember your name for a few more days, but-"

"Emily," I immediately answer, wondering how that name even sprouted in my mind. With confusion swimming in me, Minho's voice breaks my worries as he says, "Damn, she's already ahead of most of the previous Greenies. I think there are still some dumb shanks out there who are trying to get a hold of where they are."

I supress a giggle in my throat by covering my mouth and pretending to cough. Newt looks at me and back to Minho. "Well, seeing that you two already have a connection, I won't try and break it. Minho, you're in charge of Emily until Alby decides what to do with her." Newt leaves the room before Minho can protest, but I am too tired to say anything, but, "Well, Minho, I'm really tired so I'm going to go back to sleep." I settle back into the bed and roll over to my side, facing my back to Minho so he wouldn't see the smile that has broken onto my face.
