I hadn't realized how long I had been walking, but the sun had gotten lower since the incident earlier. I left my clothes and shoes on the branch to dry, and my hair was in a ponytail to keep the wetness from annoying me. I wasn't a tracker, but I could find my way around a forest. Just like when I was little and would camp by myself just to escape the world around me. I sighed. Even the forests weren't safe anymore. I hope Sophia is okay somewhere. Anywhere? I walked into a clearing to find a small cabin. Cabin in the Woods? Maybe I should turn around...

But there could be a chance that Sophia is hiding there. Now that I think about it. The Cabin isn't that far from the highway. The only thing is though...

I don't have a gun.

And I'm not too keen on close combat with a walker. I looked around and sighed deeply. If the kid has survived this long, then I'll be okay. Right?

I opened the door slowly with my knife readied in my hand. The cabin was extremely dusty and was probably abandoned far beyond this apocalypse. I looked around and there wasn't any sign of her. Just old camping gear and fishing equipment. I sighed and walked out. I made my way back to the tree and grabbed my clothes and shoes which were dry, and started heading back to camp.

I passed the RV just as Daryl was coming out of it. I quickly avoided his glance and kept walking.

"Hey," He called softly.

I ignored him and started walking faster.

"Aaron," He tried.

I started running and Daryl started chasing after me. I made it behind the house before Daryl grabbed my arm and pulling me to a stop.

"Girl, what are you runnin' from?"

I stared at him, while holding back tears.

"Where did you go? Hershel said you shouldn't be wonderin' outside the farm."

"No, but apparently the group thought it'd be okay to lower me into a well with a walker in it," I looked up.

"Why?"

"Because we had to get him out, but no one wanted to shoot him, so Andrea suggested I go down there and try to wrap a rope around his neck. They sent me down there like I was just walker bait, and the pipe broke so I fell in with the walker and almost died," I told him all in one breath.

Daryl gave me a confused look, but he didn't say anything. He dropped his crossbow to the ground and wrapped me tightly in his arms. I dropped my clothes and hugged him back tightly. He isn't flinching this time.

"If I were here, they'd never put you down in that well," He mumbled in my ear.

I blushed slightly, I don't know how Daryl did it, but he made me feel so much better.

"Thank you Daryl," I whispered.

"Now, you should be resting, you had a long day of bein' walker bait," He teased as he let me go.

I pushed him slightly and he stumbled back, grinning at me.

"I may be slightly weak, but I can still fight you Dixon," I taunted.

"Oh, I believe it, tough girl like you could whoop my ass," He chuckled as he started walking away. I rolled my eyes and followed behind him. I feel better about what happened, but I still hate Andrea for even having the idea.

The next morning everyone was gathering around the Cherokee to divide up the search around the perimeter of where Daryl found a farmhouse that she could have stayed in. I leaned on the car next to Rick and T-dog listening to him explain what we were doing. That is until one of the Hershel's people walked up to us. I hadn't socialized much with anyone other than Maggie and Hershel, so I didn't even know this kid's name.
